    Re: 2014 Recruiting

we all know that we are VERY spoiled with the product that AJ and his staff bring in year after year, right? Seems like each recruiting class is a bit stronger than the past. Everyone else in the Summit is trying to play catch up and SDSU keeps moving forward.

Welcome to SDSU Ladies, can't wait to see you on the court.

So with Elle Thompson and Alexis Alexander and Macy Miller and Kaitlyn Severyn, is that the full card for the 2014 class?

Am in Pierre for business so took in the Mitchell/Pierre girls game last night. Mitchell won 65-27. There were three SDSU recruits on the floor. Two of them looked pretty good.
When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back.

            Ouch. Which disappointed?

Mitchell paper has Young with 19, Miller with 13, and a tough defense limiting Severyn to 6. Young and Miller combined 10-20 and Severyn was 2-15. According to the article Miller defended Severyn.

Anyone know if 5'10" soph Lady Gov G/F, Sydney Palmer, is on SDSU's radar? Very athletic!

I watched her throw the shot a few times last track season. She is a stud. She threw over 40' as a freshman. That is pretty impressive. I don't know enough about basketball talent to have a comment on whether she is SDSU material or not, but she will competing somewhere in some sport after high school. I think she is the girl that won the national punt, pass, and kick a few years ago.

Riggs High's Sydney Palmer placed second in her age division in the national Punt Pass & Kick finals held in Atlanta Sunday. It was the third time Sydney has won her way to the national competition, and she is a two-time national champion. She has won the Minnesota Vikings regional competition in her respective age groups eight times over the years.

I believe the men's team has also offered her brother (along with another kid from Pierre) but I believe there was issues with him and/or his teammate being dismissed from their HS team.
After watching the Pierre Lady Govs a few times this year, when I happened to be in Pierre on gameday, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Pierre's Kaitlyn Severyn WILL play college ball....somewhere but probably not at SDSU and not basketball. I'm thinking she will play volleyball somewhere.

If Morgan Beaner from Harrisburg wasn't on SDSU's radar before, I bet she is now! I thought I saw a SDSU coach at their game on Thursday at state? She reminds me so much of Ketty but maybe a little bit taller. She stands out on defense and offense. Harrisburg will be "AA" next year so she will get to play against even tougher competition.

What is the latest update on the 2014 women? I am referring to both verbals and maybe a rumor as well,i.e. Beaner.

Is a verbal binding to both parties?
