I've pointed out the Michigan State loss as an example of an exhibition game meaning nothing. Want another example? The Detroit Lions went 4-0 in preseason games last year and we all know how much that mattered in the regular season.

Exhibition games are used to go over things and correct little mistakes, they don't mean a damn thing in the grand scheme of things.
Right on, some rep points coming your way.

I'm with you too Mango. No one wants to lose but what's important is the end of the year.

Judge for yourself I don't think the 8 minutes Troy Wipf played determined the outcome of this exhibition game. Neither did his 17 minutes in a "real game" win against Mayville State. Shooting 1-14 3 point shootin against Southwest Minnesota State might have had more of an impact and that came from our primary players who also got the majority of the minutes. I'm not trying to put any more emphasis on a exhibition than is necessary, but I also want to dispute any assertion that it didn't matter or mean a damn thing to the players, coaches and fans!

          Say it with me. EXHIBITION.

"An exhibition game (also known as an exhibition match or simply exhibition, or a demonstration or demo event) is a sporting event in which there is no competitive value of any significant kind to any competitor (such as tournament or season rankings, or prize money) regardless of the outcome of the competition."

Please tell us why this game played before the season started last year is so important to you.

Your wife or co-worker an SMSU grad who hasn't let you hear the end of it or something?

Our wins over Iowa State in Ames or making it to the semi-finals of the Summit League Championship (you know real games, games that count) with the youngest team in the league should be enough for most to let it go. Just wondering why it still upsets you so?

SMSU played to win and we didn't and they won and it still doesn't matter because the game didn't count because it was an EXHIBITION. Let it go.

Does it suck to lose an exhibition game? Yeah. Does it suck as much as losing a real game that counts in the NCAA record book? No, it doesn't.

            Next subject?

            Oh, yeah.

            LAAAAAAAA CROSSSSSSSEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Much bigger deal then SMSU in an exhibition, and I agree time for the next subject.

Exactly, that game was a lot more painful than the SMSU game

Some of you might be interested in knowing that Jordan Miller will be returning to SMSU after previously announcing his intention to transfer to Dakota Wesleyan.

In case you are asking who is Jordon Miller, he is a cousin of Jered and Mike Miller.
