Will the game definitely be against Cal-Poly or will it be decided based on RPI during the season who our opponent will be next year?

no part of the deal is you are owed a return trip the following fall.... However there may be a clause that if the schools can't find a common date it can be delayed a year, (not sure or not)..

"Multi-Team Event" or something like that.

Basically means a tournament that only counts as one game against the NCAA 29-game regular season limit.

We have 8 games left, right? I for one would like to see an end to playing lower division teams. I understand we need some home games and that most schools do this, but we should be at the point as a program to play a full D-1 schedule. Does anyone know if we have any contracts with more games?

                  Re: 2009-10 Schedule

Ok..... did SDSU and Wyoming ever agree on the 1-1 where one would be in Casper and the other one would probably be in Sioux Falls? I remember Terry talking about it and saying it wasn't a done deal but that was still when Fred was there so who knows...

Will we continue to play Minnesota or does Minnesota want to step up with its OOC scheduling?

Was there any return games as part of the Cancun challenge? or were we just paid to play at VCU and Drake?

I believe we weren't paid anything to go there, but they owe us a non-paid return game as I understood it.

What I understood is that the guarantees for VCU and Drake were sufficient to basically pay for the rest of the Cancun trip, with a fairly small profit after all's said and done.

I'm not sure any return games were involved at all.

My bad, Filbert, I think I was thinking of the BracketBuster deal. I'm sure you are right.

Minnesota does intend to increase the difficulty of the schedule. However, my understanding is that this isn't going to be at the expense of playing local opponents such as SDSU. I would expect SDSU to be a regular on the Gophers schedule for the forseable future. I'm much rather play a cross-border opponent than one that people aren't familiar with.
