    Re: 2009-10 Schedule

Paradise Jam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Nov. 20-23,
3 games, championship format. Tournament field: Purdue, DePaul, Saint Joseph's, Boston College, Tennessee, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, East Carolina

Coach Nagy told me last night that it would be Purdue in the first game. He thought it would be UNI or St. Joseph's for the 2nd game. Not sure about the 3rd game, a number of scenarios possible.

        Re: 2009-10 Schedule

No doubt. I've said all along that we'd be fortunate to go 1-2 in this thing. Alot of quality teams, including our first game opponent Purdue, who is top-5 preseason. Hopefully the experience, the chance to bond at an away venue like this and the publicity are all worth it. Certainly can't turn down the offer or opportunity like this.

I say we lose to Purdue.....lose to Saint Joes (or possibly Boston College).....then we face off against ECU, maybe DePaul. DePaul has struggled recently, didn't win a Big East game (9-22 overall last year) until the tourney and ECU was 13-15, w/ most of their wins coming against U-dot-like, lame opponents. I would give us a slim chance versus DePaul and a pretty decent chance versus ECU, who lose their top 2 scorers from last year.

              Re: 2009-10 Schedule

Was this distributed at the Stan Marshall?

It is a little different than what is on the season ticket renewal form I received a couple of days of go. But it was printed some time ago. Just wondering which is most accurate. Central Michigan wasn't on the home schedule but Mayville St and Southwest Minnesota State are on the ticket information brochure.

Sounds about right to me. Right in the thick of things in the Summit. And with some great talent building a foundation for the future.

My prediction; 15-12 (11-7 in Summit)

11-7 was good for fourth last year (NDSU 16-2, ORU 14-4, Oak 13-5) and will probably be good for third this year as Oak and ORU should really dominate the league and probably have a combined 4-5 losses.

We went 7-2 at home last season in conference. We beat Oakland at home and ORU in Sioux Falls. There is no reason we don't win both of those games at home this year. We also have a couple of more games that aren't on the schedule. I say 19-10 (13-5 Conference) I know I am optimistic, but this will be a break out season. The Jacks will be back next year!

                          Re: 2009-10 Schedule

Oakland is going to be very good. Probably about the same record that NDSU had last year.

ORU will be improved as well.

We will be improved, quite possibly the most improved team in the confrence, but at the same time there is alot of room for improvement. We could be greatly improved and still be around .500 given the improvement of Oak, ORU, IPFW, IUPUI and some tough non-conference games.

I look to the year after this next year as to when the ball really gets rolling....

One of these years SDSU might just beat Minnesota at Williams, and that'll be the end of that annual winter excursion.
