    Re: Kwsn...

I love reading all the differing opinions of the on air personalities. My take..

Sportstalk - Basically agree with the majority. Too much high school (though I do still follow high school) and GPAC. But remember, they do USF games, so they need to pimp USF and the GPAC. Can't tell you how bummed out I am when I flip over to 1230 and hear USF women's games. Craig and Mike were solid. I think since Mike left Craig feels he's above the guys he's working with and has really seemed to take this narrow, shallow, stubborn viewpoint, which has really turned me off.

Bob was not very good. Everything, everything had to go back to Rapid City and be compared to RC and stories about RC. It got humorous after awhile. I'll bet he's just a real sweet guy though.

The new kid John is good at times. I agree with the guy who said he is best and the show is best when Craig is gone. I can see where John can get the "cocky" label at times. I suppose radio is like politics, you need to have that likeability factor.

With Mike H you knew you had a guy who has been there, north to south, east to west he's been everywhere in this state and so I enjoyed hearing his commentary. I respect the heck out of his South Dakota knowledge.

ESPN - Mike and Mike have just become toooo "schtik" for me. I know ESPN, one is a fat ex-athlete who eats raw meat and the other likes his hair and has to wear rubber gloves when he changes his socks. But they play to that and it works for them.

Colin - I love The Herd. I love his viewpoint on irrational fans and it's dead on. The guy trashes the only two profeessional teams I follow and he's right, as much as it "hurts". His secular commentary is usually good for a laugh as well.

Dan Patrick - I think he got to full of himself and wanting to be buddies with the people he covered. Rarely tuned after Dibs left.

Dibs - I liked Dibs alot. Met him a couple times here in SF and he was sincere, nice guy. Mike H, if you're reading this, do you remember when Dibs was at the SF Brew Company and some dude asked you and Craig for autographs? You were surprised and made a joke out of it. Good stuff.

A couple guys I used to like and listen to were John "Freak" Renshaw and "Poppa" Joe Chevalier.

I sure hope you guys don't sprain an ankle jumping off and back on the Mike H bandwagon.

You bash him badly and then praise him when he calls you out.

I personally like Mike and like listening to KWSN in the afternoon when ever I have the chance.

I'm with you in that I've nevery heard on Nagy being on that show. The only time I can remember coach Nagy being on KWSN was a few years back early in the transition process when they had the short lived Jackrabbit Sports show on KWSN. It didn't last long and it was a short show but they always had a couple of coaches on, including specifically Nagy a couple of times.

I wonder why that went away?

I don't think he's jumping back on any bandwagon, I think he realized that the personal attack was uncalled for and just wanted to say that he respects his work. You'll see that he never said that he now magically likes his show, and I'm sure Mike knows that not everyone is a fan either.

You have the wrong guy. My screenname is "TeaJackrabbit" and I never said a negative word about Mike H. The person with the name "RabbitinTea" is the one who bashed Mike. Not the same guy. Thank you now.

                  Re: Kwsn...

Someone called in today and asked why, with the Summit tourney approaching, they don't talk SDSU more. They were a little defensive and said they've talked state everyday for the last month.

I think they talk GPAC and High School so much b/c that is what they cover and are familiar with. I suppose if I went to 6 High School games and 2 GPAC games every week that is what I would want to talk about.

To be fair, they have been talking about SDSU quite a bit more over the last month or so than they had in the past, and I attribute much of this to John. Craig is still a little snarky when discussing SDSU, but I think John has been pretty fair. They've had both AJ and Nagy on in recent weeks and usually talk about the higher rankings for the women in the polls and whatnot. I think John has been to a game or two up in Brookings as well.

USF playing DWU for the GPAC title won't help the Jacks get any pub from them, but hopefully the Summit League tourney will offset that a little

True statement...I thought someone might confuse us. I don't want you to get bashed for anything I said. By the way, I was definitely harsh with some of the things I said. I could have said them a different way. However, that doesn't change my opinion...don't feel the need to restate it at this point.

There seem to be a lot of Jackrabbit fans in Tea.

Maybe we should schedule a SDSU/USD basketball game at the Tea high school, sure to be a sell out...

Only kidding, no need to fire off on me now.

Yeah, Craig has long been anti-SDSU...He LOVED the NCC and will forever blame SDSU for it's demise.

From 3:00 to 5:00 Monday thru Friday, I definetly suggest turning to FM.

I know. I was surprised to see another fan in Tea with such a similar name to me. From what I've seen the mod Filbert takes this pretty serious and would probably suspend me if I were teo people on here.

No, he wasn't joking, which is why it made sense to you.....and me. I used to live btw Fargo and Grand Forks and loved what that rivalry was and how much attention it and both schools recieved. The SF media has NO clue. I know, I know, everyone is on the edge of their seat to hear the score and commentary of the USF vs. Mount Marty girls game....noone can wait to hear Craig talk about the State wrestling tourney.....people are tuning in to hear about the 39-32 Sturgis vs. Washington boys game. Now add Jim Rome to that list. Where does a guy get a satelite radio around here?
