Interesting that Former coach and player Gene Zulk is the next candidate for Kai and Garret to pass. If not in the Centenary game, then the Summit League tournament. I believe Zulk was under the NCAA Rule of that allowed only three years of eligibilty meaning he could not play his true freshman year. The term redshirting was unheard of in those days.

George Schroeder might have been subject to that rule too. So Kai and Garrett are surpassing some greats from the past and will go around a bunch of them next season.

Thanks. I was living in California at the time. There was no message board back then, but wished there had been. I heard so much about Lee Colburn, but never got to see him play.

After the the last regular season game vs. Centenary the standings are as follow.
Garrett stayed at 31st with his 7pts perfromance and Kai moved up a spot with his 5 pts performance. We are going to need more than a combined 12 pts from these two if we are going to have any chance of beating Oral Roberts. With no Seniors receiving quality minutes, our two Juniors really need to step up and be leaders on Saturday.

Looking back in history today, I think one guy hitting 100 points would give us quite a chance at winning also.

I agree. I would love to see an upset, and the third time around, our chances are better.

And how do you get good team effort?

By having good leadership from upperclassmen, which I don't doubt that we have, but it is really going to be needed come Saturday.

Well the season ends with a thud, but the guys did accomplish more than most people would have thought during the beginning of the season. The pieces are coming into place.

Here's how the career scoring list ends up looking going into next season.

Minor point to a thread that is done until next year, but interesting to note Steve Lingenfelter's name there, who got to the 1,000 points in just two years of playing for the Jacks. He was a stud, and I've often thought he was probably one of the best ever to don the yellow and blue.
