    Re: ORU at home

No worries, better than being complacent and accepting the losses. I don't like the losing one bit. I'm just not to the point where I think they are a really bad team, I guess. They've definitely had spurts when they are bad, no doubt about that. But, I don't think collectively it's a really bad team.

Me calling him an idiot is no worse than him calling them a "really bad" team. I thought it was ok to speak the truth, even if people didn't like it? Or does that only apply to bashing the team?
We are 8-19. I don't know your definition of really bad, maybe we are just bad, but we aren't good right now. I'm not saying we aren't playing hard, or the guys aren't trying, or anything like that. I'm just saying we aren't a very good DI basketball team right now, our record proves that.

I think it is very different saying we are not a good team and we don't have very good players. I personally don't think that they are a very good "team" right now.

I've been hacked on in the past for this opinion but I'll bring it up again. One of the problems with having 2 seniors and the rest sophomores and freshman is that there can be 2 different directions on a team. I don't know if any of us will ever know if this is true or not but when I watch them play I get the feeling that there are different forces working

I am not trying to diminish Mike and Ben. I think both of these young men deserve to be recognized for what they have gone through in their tenure as Jackrabbits.

It is now up to the coaches and the remaining players to turn it around and improve or changes will be necessary.

I will agree with you....we are not good this year. But....we are much better than we were last year which I hope we can continue to improve, but I am not convinced we will be WAY better next year. I hope I am proved wrong, but I don't see a big improvement coming next year.

I do however appreciate the effort that our guys give every night. I think they are trying their best and just haven't been able to put it all together. I don't know how many second half leads we've blown this year, but hopefully with some more experience we can hang onto some of them.

Let's hope we can get a win on Saturday to close out the season and give our young players something to build on.

            GO JACKS.

44-17 now and we are being outrebounded 35-15.

What's the deal with being outrebounded 35-15? That's worse than shooting 15%...

Definitely a dark night. I just hope they don't quit this half. They haven't all year, would hate to see that start now.

Have been following along. JAckMD, you have nothing to apologize for. You are right we are a bad team right now. And VC, nothing has changed I see as you continue with the personal attacks.

I think VC is just defending the guys against what he perceived as disrespect for them. I appreciate the effort of Coach Nagy and the players I just can't ignore the fact that it hasn't resulted in anything to be excited about right now. I'll remain a fan but I'll remain concerned. Things aren't good right now and our youth boding well for us doesn't cut it for me. Again, maybe thats just me.

I've got no more comments about this game.

35-15 in rebounding goes with shooting 15 percent, although admittedly ORU has about 10 offensive rebounds.

Just got home from the game (3-year-old couldn't make it the whole game) and yes, it was ugly. It's not like we didn't have open looks, particularly during that first 10 minutes. ORU isn't exactly a stellar defensive team. The shots just weren't dropping for us. I have no idea why. I was sitting with a couple of guys and we all agreed that until about five minutes to go in the first half when they hit some threes, it didn't feel like we were out of the game. That changed, of course.

The defensive effort in the first half was good. On offense, we seemed to be pressing. Lots of shots going over the hoop.
                            Holy nutmeg!

Can't we all just discuss shooters or cinder blocks or something more constructive?
