Growing up in Brookings, it goes without saying that Brayden Carlson has long dreamed of suiting up for South Dakota State. But that's a tougher task than one might think, as it's been 16 years since a Bobcats prepster played for the Jackrabbit men's basketball team.
Carlson, a 6-foot-5 guard who also started at quarterback for the Bobcats football team last season, will bring that drought to an end this fall, and if his senior season on the hardwood is any indication, he's not going to settle for being just some token local guy.
Lately, Carlson's versatile game and physical skills have been on full display, as the senior has averaged more than 30 points during the Bobcats' last five contests and more than 22 points per game for the year. . . . (read more)
