It would be a big mistake if the internal hire wasn't Peterson. If there are outside options fine but Petey has much more upside!

well if he is smart, perhaps it did dawn on him that, that moment in time worked out kinda nicely for someone

people can say whatever they want. this would be a lateral move. no matter how many teams the MV used to put in the tourney, they are now a one bid league. this is a lateral move.

at the same time, this is at least two years in a row that Hendo is spending the offseason looking for a new place to work. I wish him health, happiness, and success, but if he wants out that bad, then it is probably better that he gets it over with.

it would be nice not to just throw out random speculation about players. pointing out that Hendo was interviewing was a fact. each of us listing our guesses on what will happen with players seems pointless. i have no idea what the players will do, but at least one player speculated to go has wanted to be a Jackrabbit since quite a while before Hendo came to brookings

I came here to just say congratulations to Hendo, and speculate on a replacement, but maybe premature?

Justin Sell will earn his money on this one. If we keep both Peterson & Klink, the assistant side will require a good bump in pay as well.

    You could argue that, sure.

It's not like Klink doesn't have any upside, he's been here for 100 years, recruited and developed countless all league guys and has been under 3 different head coaches. I hope he gets his shot. It's time.

I’m honestly not overly worried about finding a replacement for him. I think we have lots of great options internally and externally. More so hoping we don’t have any players follow him east.

Someone toss a pint of Berry Barry over shoulder to counter this potential jinx

I can't see the current state of college athletics having anything but a negative impact on fan support and not just at the lower levels.
