Depart 6 am Thursday from Brookings;
North on I-29 to Summit (omen!!!), US 12 west-- arrive, Miles City MT 2 pm Thursday. You're driving through rain and snow, according to the forecast.
Miles City to Butte, MT, arrive by 7 or 8 pm.
Overnight in Butte.
Butte, MT to Spokane, leave 8 am MDT arrive 12 noon PDT, maybe miss the first tip of the Cal-Hawaii game.

Watched Maryland play Nebraska in the Big 10 tournament. They made 9 of 10 threes to start the game. Gotta hope they don't repeat that performance.Comment

Chances of that Amtrak train arriving on time are less than the 1000-1 odds we have of winning the national championship. It has been about 7 years since I took that train out of Fargo but I was appalled by how off they were on arrival and departure times.
