If the Jacks can limit the turnovers and not shoot like they did against UNO, its going to come down to the wire. I like the Jacks in this one just because I can't remember the last time SDSU lost 2 consecutive home games in conference play.
    Bison 3 point shooting:

    Alexander-43%
    Braun-39%
    Felt-39%
    Wright-36%

All four have over 50 attempts

If that is happening, expect to see more Felt. With Wolters gone it is an easier adjustment to make.

Have you noticed Bjorklund getting doubled much this year?

And Chad White is barely shooting 30% this season. Is he a better shooter than that? Of course he is. Alexander is not a 43% 3 point shooter even though he stats says he is. He is a inconsistent shooter just like Wright. Dykstra is shooting 41% from 3 so far. Does that mean Alexander is a better shooter? Braun and Felt are "True" shooters. 50 attempts is not a good comparison to someone who has shot 70 or 80 three pointers. I would rather guard Felt and Braun behind the arc than Wright and Alexander.

I'd say it is about the same as last year. Some teams try to double him others try a zone. A few with better bigs have played him mostly straight up, Notre Dame did that and he basically scored at will but teams with more physical bigs have been a bit more effective.

Marshall's big issue has really been foul trouble though, he has handled whatever defense most teams try but in a few games we lost him for some significant minutes.

Hope Nagy has 'em fired up and they get going fast and strong,if you have a big crowd, you want them amped up and cheering loudly as early as possible.

Its going to come down to which team shoots better. Braun could take over with his driving ability and if he is determined to do that the Jacks are going to have bir problems stopping the Bison. We don't have a Braun or a Trayvon. Jacks will need to make 8 plus 3's to be in this game and I don't see that happening.

This is going to be a tough game for the Jackrabbits to win. Defense will have to play hard for 40 minutes and shots will have to fall early. I think the Bison with where the Jackrabbits down and win going away. I hope I'm wrong and will be there cheering for a Jackrabbit victory.

Yes, "live by the jumpshot, die by the jumpshot" will probably be the simple analysis of this team for the rest of the season. That's going to make each game pretty hard to predict and allow for big wins and bad losses. Hopefully the pieces we are adding for next year will cut our dependence on outside shooting a little.

will definately be a tough game.

Hopefully the team plays well, win or lose.

We need Dykstra and White to be at their best in this one.

I think that's what got people so worked up after the Omaha loss - not so much that they finally lost a home conference game , but the way they played in doing it.

Is Chad White 100% yet from the little surgery on the knee?

How quickly we forget. This might have something to do with his sub par performance in the last few games. I would think it would affect his balance and not being as quick as he was before.

                              Re: Bison vs Jacks

The 3% FG percentage last year (35 games) was 38.9%, this year (19 games) is 33.6%.

Average points scored last year was 73.4 compared to 72.9. Not a great disparity.

Opposing teams average is up almost 5 points.

12.6 turnovers a game this year compared to 10.42 last year. May be the biggest issue.

                                Re: Bison vs Jacks

They are who I said they were and we are who I said we were. Better team won. Jacks played about as well as they can. Bison pretty much controlled the whole game despite that.

Braun is a stud and can take over a game anytime he wants to. Others are just good enough that you can't leave them to double Braun and even if you do he can beat you.

Bison are going to be a tough out in March. Jacks might not get a shot at them if the defense doesn't improve and I'm not sure it can.

Jacks played hard, played well and got beat by a better team with better players. Nothing to be embarrassed about. Much different than last week.
