One of the tweets that TV received on Dec23 from Jeff Goodman ESPN said that George had visited North Texas and was scheduled to visit SDSU this week which would mean today or tomorrow. I suspect that you follow TV's tweets. So this might not be news.

TV is a bit distracted as his daughter is back in the hospital. Might have to research other sources for news.

Just doesn't seem fair that one family should have to deal with so many health issues.

If this kid decides to come to SDSU, obvious nickname follows: The Marshall Plan

How ironic, I did not connect on the first name. General George Marshall, of course, the originator The Marshall Plan, that saved Greece in post WW2.

Seriously, we hope Krabbenhoft can help us on this one. Some sort of Marshall plan would pay his tuition for spring semester since we have no schollies.

You would think UIC will be tough to beat - chance to play in his hometown , plus the head coach there now was the assistant at Wisconsin that recruited and signed Marshall for the Badgers .

I agree UIC is probably the front runner. Should know soon.

[QUOTE=BigGoosie13;243501]According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.... George Marshall, a PG from the University of Wisconsin is visiting North Texas, Illinois-Chicago, and the Jacks....https://twitter.com/GoodmanESPN/stat...81744372584448

--One would imagine that it would be hard to beat out his hometown school in UIC, especially considering we don't have an immediate scholarship for him, but stranger things have happened I guess.

I think BigGoosie started this thread out properly by pointing out that we don't have an immediate scholarship for him. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way we can get him that scholly is if one of the current scholarships were to come open. Not likely to happen with any of the seniors. That would mean one of the underclassmen would need to give it up or have it taken away. Considering the time he's seen on court this year, my guess, if it were to happen, it would be Donlin. Not that I'd want to see him go. But who else would Nagy sacrifice to sign Marshall?

I believe BigGoosie started this thread off well with his observation that we don't have an immediate scholarship for him. We have verbals for all of the four scholarships that will become available when our seniors graduate. I believe the only way we would get him a scholarship is if one of the underclassmen were to give up his scholarship or if Nagy were to take it away. If either were the case, which one is the most likely to be gone by the next game? Any such rumors out there?

FYI,rumors about players and/or coaches leaving are the kind of thing that is not looked at too kindly on this board.

Not knowing what the scholarship situations are at the other schools , it could very well be that Marshall might be paying his own way for a semester no matter where he goes. Even if he would end up in Brookings , I think it is safe to say that no current player would lose his scholarship at this point of the season.
