    I am inclined to believe this would be the case. No one has done anything on the court or off that would warrant a yank of a scholarship. Paying his own way could be a combination of non-athletic scholarships and grants. Our staff is very good in working these kind of situations out. Not knowing anything about his family income, it would not surprise me if he qualified for a Pell Grant. If we want this guy bad enough, they will find a way to help him with financing for a semester or what ever it takes. Then again he might pass on SDSU for another school. Lets hope our Krabbenhoft connection helps.

            I guess he will take Ruben Silva's walkon spot for the time being. Unless someone decides to leave (or is pushed) I don't believe there will be a scholarship available in 2015.

              Wow. I thought there was no realistic chance. Adding this kid and Parks certainly would have the potential to make the old cliche about "reloading" rather than "rebuilding" true for next year. With those two, Bittle, and Broman the guard positions might be a real strength.

                So does he transfer at semster break here? When does class start again or has it already? How many years of eligibility will he have assuming he does in fact come here?

                  1.5 years left...eligible at semester break next season.

                    I'm still giddy about getting Cody Larson. I don't know if I can handle the Marshall news if true...but I'll try! Why did he leave Wisconsin anyway?

                      Reduced playing time. Only played in 2 games this year.

                        Want to get excited about next season? Do a google search And spend 15 minutes doing some reading about this guy. What a huge score for SDSU.

                        A few quick notes that stood out to me.

                        - started six games at PG for WI as a freshman. The first PG to start as a FR at WI in nearly 20 years.
                        - played in all 35 games last year.
                        - scored 20 pts against Iowa, all in second half.
                        - sounds like he was a good teammate who comes from a good family.

                        This guy could do some real damage in the Summit. The PG position is so important at the mid-major level.

                              It'll be interesting to see how the Bittle, Broman, Parks and Marshall backcourt shakes out the next couple years...
