Maybe, Texts operate on the channel that cell towers use to identify and locate your cell phone they need very little reception compared to what it takes to complete a call. (Love the Buttfootball reference, BTW it makes me smile 2 fold because I also think of buttfumble at the same time)

It was a joke, but I digress. I'll make sure to wipe off my shoes when I get home.

It may just be BS(EE) talking.

That's interesting. I wouldn't have guessed that to be true. Obviously we are a second half team . I still stand by my previous post. There have been a few very sluggish starts that have been puzzling. We've pulled a couple out but we've lost a couple also. Come tournament time that is something that you can't have happen. That's my point. I like where they are headed.

It will be interesting to see how tomorrow night goes.

I like the use of facts too, and I was also surprised by your data because it did not seem to match up with the way it felt like things were going. Nice job.

That being said, however, I took a closer look at the numbers. If you were to look at the Summit games and remove the blow-out wins over bottom-level teams (IUPUI, UNO, IPFW, and KC) you may find the source of our feeling that this team has a habit of starting slow. Here are the point averages in those other games (which include NDSU, WIU, OU, and USD).

          1st half: 29.2 points (ugly!)
          2nd half: 39.2 points

Maybe we just noticed the slower starts because they have often happened in the "bigger" games. Hopefully we'll see 40 by halftime tomorrow night.

That doesn't surprise me in the least. I was surprised when I noticed it was that even overall. It does make sense that in the blow-out games, we get out to a huge game and then slow down in the second half, thus bringing our overall numbers to roughly even.

                  Re: USD coming to Frost

Anyone backing out on a Brookings trip due to the cool weather? My group of four is still headed north with no second thoughts. Early dinner at Cubby's then slipping into Frost a few minutes after 6:00. I want to see that home winning streak get extended.

I saw Jake Bittle on campus today. He has a splint on his right hand. That would be a huge loss, in particular at Oakland where Jake's defense would be a key. I'm sure we'll hear more about his status tonight.

he hadnt had any hand injury before did he? or maybe is this some precautionary thing?

I'm usually not worried about walking boots or a splint if its unannounced or doesn't have a hard case. Usually it's a precaution and I really hope that's all it is. I guess we shall find out tonight

Just in: SDSU has only 300 GA tickets left for tonight's men's basketball game vs USD. They go up for grabs at 6 pm at Frost Arena.
