I think he wanted to dunk it and throw it in our face...it meant nothing for the game at the time. And when he raced down and was going to go up, he hesitated and seemed to have changed his mind to not dunk and you could see he was in an awkward position when he took off (I think he twisted it on the takeoff and then landed awkwardly because his body position was also twisted. I've looked at it four times on the replay and am convinced it happened that way. So, as Hillary would say: What does it matter anyway now?
Excellent quote of Hillary, it fits this situation. I cant give you rep pts, got to spread them around. I also looked at IZZO Blog at the Fargo Forum and they had a clip of Wright and it looks like he did change his mind, in fact I believe he was in going to lay it up, but change to a something else and his landing was not pretty. It's without a doubt a freak injury.

I have watched it several times too and I am pretty sure he was going to dunk it. Only chnaged his mind after he planted to jump and which place the injury happened.

A few thoughts on the game (I've been off the grid for a couple days):

        1. THAT MAY BE THE BEST HALF OF B-BALL I'VE EVER SEEN A JACKS TEAM PLAY! Great stuff and a great win!
        2. That showed us what this team is capable of doing. They are head and shoulders above anyone in the league when they play that way.
        3. Great crowd! Not just in numbers but it was good to hear it loud in Frost. Not quite like the old days but it was very exciting.
        4. I bet Nagy's feet felt better as result of not wearing shoes and thus not doing his famous foot stomp.
        5. I've heard it mentioned that some of the sightlines will be adjusted in the off-season. Not sure what that means though.
        6. I'm quite certain that the Basket stands are mandated by the NCAA and that was the major reason the stands behind the baskets were changed.
        7. Nate Wolters was unreal in the second half, even by Nater standards.

It is really exciting to these guys playing like that! This team is confident, experienced, starting to peak, and the most important things is that they are healthy. I've said it before, bring a friend to watch these guys play. You might make a Jacks fan for life. What a privelage it is to watch not only Nate Walters but the entire team.

Finally, I'm excited to give the 'Yotes what they have coming to them on Thursday night.

Sure would be nice if the athletic department could get this game on the Full Game Replay section of Jackrabbit Extra...

Still waiting for the NDSU replay to be available on Jackrabbit Extra...

Can anyone shed some light on why this is taking so long? Does SDSU not have the rights to their own rebroadcasts due to Midco?
