    Re: Minnesota

I agree Kemo -what we really need to see, and what has been missing for this team thus far is chemistry. The Jacks need to play like a team, everyone on the floor and on the bench needs to do their job to the best of their ability - yes that means making shots and taking rebounds, hard-nosed defense and all the rest of the cliches. We don't need one or two to step up, the whole team needs to move up a place together. Too often in this short season we have seen players drift in and out of the play, stony cold one minute, hit a big shot/rebound/block and then quietly drift back into never never land for 10 minutes. Minnesota has a competitive edge coming into this game but I don't believe for a second that they have more talent - the Jacks need to just play hard and smart for 40 minutes. I'd like to hear more talk on the court and less of Nagy screaming from the sideline. Seems to me that communication on the court would go a long ways to bringing this team into one cohesive unit - if that happens tomorrow night - look out Gophers!

      Re: Minnesota

I would just like to add that it's not all about the Jacks. Minnesota can play at the top of their game or they could play lethargic and off. I really think the winning or losing will be dependent on how Minnesota plays. If they're asking to lose, then we all know SDSU could beat them. But if they play to their ranking, there's no way we win. I guess that's how I see it... If Minnesota plays well and it's a competitive game then that will say alot about the Jacks.

I made a drastic error for the SDSU NDSU football game in forgetting that NDSU had no say in the game. Well they clearly did

        Re: Minnesota

Team chemistry? How do guys that have been playing together (almost wrote playing with each other) for four years, three years and two years, freshman class gets a break here, not develope "team chemistry" already? They only lost one player this year. Did he take all the "chemistry" with him? The way they have been playing maybe all their games should be close ones. They seem not to be able to handle big leads so. Sorry to seem to be down on them cause I'm not, but to me when they do the intros and close camera shots on these guys they have the look in their eyes and expressions that they just woke up from a nap.

            Re: Minnesota

Lets see. A top 15 team vs. an NCAA tournament team or Purdue/Lamar. Lets go with the Purdue game. Nice call Big 10 Network.

ESPN3 question. If my internet provider doesn't carry ESPN3 is there anyway to receive the game. I have the Jackrabbit Extra, but it looks like they can't broadcast the feed either. (Looks like I'm going out tonight)

The spread on the game is Gophers by 14 1/2. Might have to lay a wager on the Rabbits tonight!

            Go Rabbits!

I don't know if we can blame lack of "chemistry" either. That just does not make sense given the lack of roster turnover. Hopefully they come out focused tonight and at least keep it competitive.

While we were busy struggling with the likes of Hoffstra, Marshall, SW Minn, and UND the Gophers were taking care of business against #19 Memphis, Standford, and Florida State. This could be very ugly if we don't play much better than we have in every game since Alabama. By the same token, a win tonight would easily be the biggest in program history. This is not the same Gophers team we have faced the past several years.

hahahahaha that was awesome! every team in the big ten has more overall talent than sdsu. sdsu has a very talented kid in wolters but after that sdsu doesnt have much. this will be a 20+ win for minnesota good luck

Google first row sports... This may not be strictly legal, although the chances of feds banging down your door are very slim

                    Re: Minnesota

The last few times we have played major conference teams we have started very, very well. Then there's that rough patch where we can't seem to hardly get it across the center line. Lose that tonight and this becomes a good game. There's no doubt they will press us. Baylor and Alabama both did it with success. I'm really interested to watch this game. This is our next best chance at a signature win.

I heard that there is an alumni event at Blarney's before hand. I do have inside information that Caleb Thielbar, SDSU Alum on the Twins 40-man Roster, will be at Blarney's before the game having a beer or two. I'd say he'll get there about 5:45 -6:00.

Got word from a good source that Nate Wolters rolled an ankle pretty good at practice last night. He may not play at Minnesota tonight.

                            Can anyone confirm this?

SDSU injury report given last night was incomplete: Wolters turned ankle at practice. He did participate in shootaround but is questionable.

Can anybody else say, "We really miss Griff." Callahan was the glue that held this team together. So far this season, we have no bench.

TV confirmed that he rolled his ankle and did participate in shootaround and is questionable. God damnit.
