I dont expect any power 6 conferences to come to frost. Its hard enough for the women to get them to come to Brookings. But it would be nice to see a Horizon or MVC team come to Brookings. We use to play UNI all the time, what happened there? How about the Big Sky? I never went to games against D2 teams before i bought season tickets and i probably wont now either.

We played UNI I think 4 times, a 2 for 1 and then (I think) a money game their for when we went to Iowa State. The problem with the MVC and Horizon teams is the teams you want to play (the ones that have a relevant RPI) don't really have the advantage of going to an SDSU, they figure they can either buy a winnable game or go play a big boy school for money.

Does the airport have anything to do with it either? I don't fly but I've heard stories that many of SDSU's recruits fly into Omaha or Minneapolis and drive up (or over) to Brookings, rather then to go right into Sioux Falls, is that the same with teams? It is my understanding that many basketball teams fly commercial rather then charter so that could be a problem as well. Add in the fundamental problems like those to the fact that we haven't lost in a while in Frost, and have done well on the road and you can understand how hard it is to schedule.

Tough stretch Dec 15 - Jan 6th. 6 road games with the last being in Vermillion. Again, no quality non-conference games at Frost, lot of weeknight games. I will need to seriously reconsider season tickets, just can't get back for enough games to make it worthwhile.

Yikes. We go 1-2 losses through that schedule and probably have a higher RPI than last year. As a fan I would hope for a return next year from at least Montana and Belmont and New Mexico down the road. I heard from Ceach Klink it's been a grind getting home games.
Oh well, at least we get to watch "good" basketball in Yellow and Blue!!
