ORU is no where close to the tournament and if SDSU lost to Western Illinois at the Arena then your entire message board would be discussing the placement of WIU in the tourney. The fact of the matter is when you compare the two leagues it isn't even close. I don't like that people are looking ahead to other games already. I'm a one game at a time type guy. I'm looking for a good game and I expect SDSU to play strong.

Here is what I think. Baylor will be the most talented, most athletic team that the Jacks will play all year.
I'm sure the Summit League will be happy to take a look at adding Baylor when the inevitable happens and the Big 12 folds...I'll give the Big 12(Longhorn Conference) 3 years. But I'm sure it will be more budget friendly for you to hold hands with ORU and join the Southland Conference.
    SDSU...Passionate, Relentless, Champions.

Hey now . . . round these here parts "UT" refers to the University of Tennessee. Just ask my wife (proud UT grad . . .). We call Texas "that school with the REALLY ugly orange jerseys" around here . . . (well, at least I do . . .)

        Oh, and . . .

When BU won the women's national championship, I got taught the Bear Claw from a Baylor grad who sat just behind us (wife and I go to all the Women's Final Fours-she's not just a UT grad, she was a Lady Vol volleyball player). And last year, I got adopted by the A&M people we were sitting with when they found out that my dad spent some time in College Station getting edumacated during WW2. So I'm OK with Baylor and with A&M, generally. Texas . . . well, that orange is really ugly . . .

Baylor also has two other possible 1st rounders one and 2 years away currently on the team
Mmmm. Still gonna go with Washington on this one.

Washington had a more physically gifted back court, but Baylor has a more physically gifted front court.

Tony Wroten is a complete freak with his combination of size, speed, and athleticism, while Perry Jones III and Quincy Miller have lottery draft pick specs for their respective positions. The plus for the Jacks is that, though these kids are great talents, they are not great basketball players yet (I say "yet" because all 3 are underclassman and have the talent to develop a great basketball skill set).

I'll also throw in that Baylor's PG, Pierre Jackson (we should call him "Pier" like our capital btw) is crazy fast, but it'll be tough for him to stick with an NBA team due to his size.

not that I agree with you...in fact I totally disagree...once aggy leaves, everyone will get along much better, but why do you take such pleasure in hoping that Baylor is dumped by the Power Conferences?

That orange is ugly because it is burnt. Of course when the Vols came out with the jack-o-lantern uni's for halloween ...

I know this isn't a smack thread so I apologize ahead of time, but I can't stop laughing. I went to Keloland.com to see if they had posted a video of the selection show, and at the top is SDSU to play Baylor... a little bit down.. USD to host state spelling Bee. Still chuckling.

Washington does have some good talent on the team but they are nowhere near the complete team that Baylor has. I just took a look at the box score from the Washington game. SDSU was flaming hot from three (63%) and shot about 55% from the field. That is as near perfect as you can play. It is a good feather in SDSU's cap, but the issue is that Washington isn't even in the top 50 RPI. They were the regular season Pac 12 conference winners and didn't get an invite to the tourney....i.e. the Pac 12 was historically bad this year.

LOL, budget smack from a fan of a tax-payer funded school. We aren't exactly aching for funds. As for the Big 12, well, it's going to be around for at least another 10 years. To suggest otherwise shows a bit if ignorance of the situation.

And to think we went to the tournament and cheered for SDSU in the finals. FWIW, I have seen Baylor play 3 times this year in person, the Jacks 3 times, and if you play them to a 14 point game you should be proud. As good as Wolters is, I feel Baylors guards will expose him, and Quintin (sp) Acey will own your bigs. All that being said, good luck.
