Agree with all the comments on Prince. It's not going change this year but at what point does he start to get a few more of Carlson's minutes? Too many games lately that Carlson looks tentative and is non-existent. Prince comes in and is immediately aggressive.

Carlson may be one of the best defenders on this team. Prince will get his time, but right now Carlson is more valuable on the floor because he is a better shooter, IMO

No, Buffalo's coach went thru the line but early and quickly. He was done shaking hands before the balance of the Buffalo team got started. Outstanding win for the program. Need to give props to the students for sticking around and creating an excellent atmosphere in the stands. I understand that ESPN was very complimentary of everything that went on including the game.

That was a very good game of team basketball. Thought we looked a little jittery to begin the game. Griff got beat up good in the first half (some good shoves and an elbow to the chin) but he had a great game. Liked the fact the turnovers were kept down today compared to the NDSU game. Maybe some slacks on defense would be the main complaint but in a 20 point win, oh well. Did think the kid from MN for Buffalo was a pretty good player (#5 I believe).

              Re: Buffalo

Keep in mind Carlson was limited yesterday because of two fouls that were the result of a tipped pass in which he got whistled going for the ball. If he doesnt make those fouls Buffalo, Buffalo gets two breakaway dunks.

Carlson shoots it 47% from deep. That is a good threat to have. As others have said, its great to see Prince and Heemstra step in and give minutes. They have certainly earned more PT. This depth will be huge as we go down the stretch.

Carlson is a great defender and a very good shooter. Needs to be more assertive and aggressive on offense though. Sometimes he is confident and shoots the lights out than sometimes he just disappears on offense but defends very well.

It was good to see Chad White hit a couple of shots late. Both he and Carlson will need to provide some scoring so teams can't concentrate on Wolters,Dykstra and Griff.

As others have said, don't underestimate Carlson's defensive contribution. His play is a big reason we are not regularly giving up 70+ points like the last couple of years. I do love the improvement in depth we're seeing lately, though. That's a big deal.

                        Re: Buffalo

Carlson has earned his playing time. Princed play more yesterday for two reasons. Carlson did have some foul trouble and was not playing well. But, IMO the biggest reason Prince played more is that we needed his aggresive inside play and rebounding. Every Jackrabbit that came onto the floor at Frost yesterday contributed in some way or another. Carlson contributes with his defense which often goes unnoticed by fans.

Wow! I was impressed by the entire day. Contrats Jackrabbits.

Keep it going and let's finished this thing strong.

Prince played a great game yesterday, but I'd still rather have Brayden on the floor. I think he had 3 steals yesterday?

I have seen Prince's aggressive offense hurt the team many times this year. Untimely charges, turnovers, and taking flow away from the offense are not good (he is a freshman, so it is to be expected). We don't NEED Prince's offense to win, this team has plenty of offensive firepower.

Prince is going to be a very nice player for us, but he is a freshman and makes bad decisions sometimes.

Each is filling the role he is being asked to fill, and the team is having a ton of success. Why mess with that?

I think its a matchup thing. When the team needs rebounding and physicality more he will play when they need the defender who can stroke it Carlson will get the heavy minutes.
