I was impressed by their size and athleticism. We won that game on the free throw line.
The Buffalo coach was livid. He was screaming about the fouls called against them always resulted in shooting fouls. Then he would scream about the make up "touch" fouls against us.
He might have been right, as the fouls shots did go in our favor 31-11. I want to watch the replay and listen to the national broadcast so see if they saw it the same way.
Their coach even yelled something about SDSU shooting 150 more FT's than their opponents at home so far this season. It was entertaining sitting so close to him.
It has nothing to do with being old. That cheer has no place at a game where there are families...not to mention that there is a national TV audience. Try to make a good impression so that the cameras want to come back. Besides, I am not sure that the plays they were chanting it at were even that bad of calls. Those cheers kind of ruined what was otherwise an entertaining crowd
I don't get it. First fans state how boring the student section is than the student section gets into it and chants what EVERY college kids do from D-3 to big time college sports and state how bad it is and no place. You can't have your cake and eat it too. National TV audience has nothing to do with it. It happens actually more than you think. Heck it even happens in pro sports sometimes. Smh.

That was a big win in so many different ways. National exposure, effect on post-season options, extending record-setting win total, defending the home court, creating more buzz for fans, and on and on.
I love the way the guys have been defending the home court. Another one with a 20+ point margin is in the books at Frost. Get 2 more and the streak will carry over into next year (which could definitely be even better).
Congrats to ORU as well. If Oakland can hold on it will a pretty good day for the top of the Summit (maybe NDSU will help out tonight too).

Dang, so used to the games starting at six and ending around ten here in the eastern time zone. now it looks like I'm going to have to spend a saturday night with the family. gasp!
I was surprised (and happy) that Buffalo didn't run ball through Watt down low more often. At 6'10 and agile,he was a handful. He is a post that I would love to have on the Jacks - but Tony more than held his own throughout the game.

If you were offended, you should probably just not watch college basketball. The only complaint I have is lack of creativity, as our student section chanted the same thing every student section in America chants.
yeah, it occurs at all levels. I think one thing about Frost is with the student section right behind where the radio/TV people are its more likely to be picked up by it.
My first thought was how crude on National TV,but, like SoDakJack, didn't know it was so common place.Must be a generation gap there somewhere. At least it wasn't outright vulgar I guess, thankfully.
Was it just me but did Buffalo's head coach leave the court before the game was over? I don't believe I saw him go and shake our players/coaches hands.
That was a very good game of team basketball. Thought we looked a little jittery to begin the game. Griff got beat up good in the first half (some good shoves and an elbow to the chin) but he had a great game. Liked the fact the turnovers were kept down today compared to the NDSU game. Maybe some slacks on defense would be the main complaint but in a 20 point win, oh well. Did think the kid from MN for Buffalo was a pretty good player (#5 I believe).
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--
What is it about losing to a team from the Dakotas that just eeks fans from the coasts? I thought their fans were over at UBFans were great before the game, now its breakdown time since we are from South Dakota. We were described as South Dakota's version of high school musical, which I don't know what really means.
It seems every school has some fans who give the "WTF?" that after a loss. This week, there were some SDSU fans who made similar comments after the loss in Vermillion.
Buffalo fans can read the Buffalo.com report (link in an post early in this thread) and get a fairly accurate summary from Buffalo's point of view.
