This team has bounced back every time this year...so you have a good point. I just can't fathom how we come out of the gates like we did tonight...

Better to lay an egg now than in Sioux Falls. Let's run the table and go dancin'!

Because SDSU struggles in big games like that. See NDSU for the past how many years. I think they're finally making the turn, but what happens in Sioux Falls in March? I think games like this are good for the team. Blowouts won't help them come tourney time.

Well said. Hard to trust a team that's lost two games to teams with RPIs that are 270 or higher. Sorry. Them's just the facts.

I'll be honest: we looked scared. Shots didn't fall and people started to play tentatively. It's an unfortunate loss and if it would have affected seeding I'd be a lot more upset. As others have said, better there than in SF.

Teams who are in confrence title talks should not lose to a bad team with no impressive wins. Not mad that it was USD. The point is to be a top team in the league, these are games that need to be won. Thanks to NDSU helping us out, we are ok to keep the 2nd seed, but we havent really played our best ball as the season winds down, while we still have a lot of tough games left.

It's important to remember we have been flawless record-wise at home (and have won every conference home game by double digets) so far this season and the conference tournament is essentially like playing at home. I doubt we'll come out flat there, so another team is going to have to play incredibly well to beat us. I like this team's chances.

We haven't wrapped up the #2 seed yet...probably will, but not yet.

Well we played pretty flat against SUU as well. So this is pretty troubling, IMO. I mean, yeah, for one game we can say being flat happens to a lot of teams but to happen two times in a row is something else. I hope I'm wrong but still. What really troubles me in the REBOUNDING and FT SHOOTING in the final few minutes. I believe if we would have made our FT's and rebounded with a few minutes left we would have edged out a win. I think that is most troubling, imo. Missing two 1&1's is like missing four FT. We ended up losing by four. Boom

At the same times we struggled, but I think because they were playing us. They needed to win a big game and were fired up for it. I think the real teams from UND and USD are between What we saw at home and what they did on the road. They were bad on the road and played better then usual at home.

Like the Bison team that went to the Dance that lost to 200+ RPI Southern Utah? Bad losses happen in college basketball.

Ask UNC about missing FTs. We had chances no doubt. If we make 1 three in the first, this game is totally different. The point we should take away is that we could have been blown out ala UND but we almost won. Litterally a few plays truly changed the game. We get a rebound make a three in the first half or a few FT late in the game.

Wish others would have been willing to take some shots. Nate cant take that many shoots. We have to many good shooters, role players or not, they need to take a little more. Dykstra needs to be a little more consistant also. not sure where his D was tonight.

We didn't shoot the ball well against SUU but I wouldn't say we came out flat (I judge that from an energy stand point), as our defense was pretty good.

Home court is a double edge sword, for not only does the home team get to feed off the crowd, but the visiting team has trouble building/maintaining momentum as well. There is a reason it's tough to win on the road in college basketball.

To me that's why it's so frustrating. If we would have lost by 20 then sure, coyotes played great. We played absolutely awful and were a few key shots from winning. A little play such as getting the rebound when the Coyotes missed the front end of the 1&1 and we could have won this game. The Jacks are clearly a better team but plays like that are what cost us. Coyotes did what they had to do at home.

Also, Brayden and Nagy said that in the postgame that they didn't have good practices all week so to me, they were saying essentially that they were expecting this to happen? The context just sounded like that. How do they not get up for the USD game???? Truly baffling.

Ok my heart has stopped beating out of my chest. If the Rabbits have a "Big 3" it's Nate, Griffan & Jordan. I know the final two players are in the ballpark with many of the other players, but when they play well the Rabbits are difficult to beat. When the don't (combined 11 pts tonight) the Rabbits are very average. Hopefully they bounce back Saturday night.
Another plus is that playing in the dome tonight will help the Rabbits with their depth perception at the Superdome (Final Four). One can always dream. Go Rabbits!
