I agree that it's probably small thinking on my part, but sometimes in life you have to stand on principals. BTW - I've been to all the home games, the MN game and NE game. I don't think I'll be missed. As stated earlier - enjoy the game.

Interesting. I hate to doubt Terry but I know of students who just got theirs since this was printed. Best way to find out i guess is call the ticket office. I would hate to have students miss out on a game if they thought they could not get in and they could.

After the SUU win, I pulled out a Cubby's glass (yes, you can buy them), selected a Bud Light Lime, poured it,...and thought about January 12... (but, of course, I didn't think about it long: ORU NEXT!)

My mom feels simmilar. Al though not able to make many games they do like to go when they can. Just hates the crowds ans how nasty it can get. She perfers to cheer in a family friendly enviroment.

The sooner this game gets over the better. I will not be attending next Thursday, but will be there Saturday night vs. UMKC. SDSU should've done everything in it's power to keep "South Dakota's Team" out of the conference. SDSU now has to deal with the same petty crap (Alumni Party @ Cubbys) we dealt with for 50 years. The comments from USD during the transition (South Dakota kids will never play @ SDSU again. That was a great message. Just because you're from SD you'll never be good enough to compete at the D1 level) will not be forgotten by this guy. I will back the Jacks against "SD's Team" but not from the seats @ Frost. When "SD's Team" was approved for the Summit League and MVC I stated I would not attend the games unless they played in the playoffs. Enjoy the game but I'll be sitting this one out! Go Rabbits!

You can do what you want. But I'd like to remind people that the players (from both schools) are not the ones who made the decisions they are not the ones who have done stupid things in the past, and other then maybe the Madison kids, and Jordon Boots from USD I doubt any of them have even attended a USD-SDSU game. I think its petty to say I'm not going to go to the game because of how they treated us, or how they acted in the past.

As far as the alumni association meeting at Cubby's more power to them. Now I'll remind them when I was down at D-Days and I walk into a bar and the entire staff is wearing beat state shirts (come on its your homecoming), and my friends and myself who were wearing SDSU shirts would only get served from the guy we knew who worked there or unless one of our USD friends bought it for us. So if you don't get served or treated very well don't be surprised.

USD alumni association sent out a 6x8 post card, to their alums, inviting them to a pre-game get-together at Cubby's from 5-6:30 on the 12th and at Bravo's on the 16th from 5-6:30.

Well considering the doors at Frost open at 5:30 and I'm assuming most U fans have GA tickets, they're going to end up in the corners or the bad sight line seats hanging out at Cubby's until 6:30.

Seems like the major partner of Bravo's and Pizza Ranch played football for USD. I hope he still has his liquor license. Cant say I know any of the kitchen staff, and lets hope they are above board in serving food.

I don't know how much a drink costs at Bravo's but that has to be the most expensive place to eat in Brookings. I went there to eat with one other person and it cost $60. There was one glass of wine but the other person drank water.
I hope they leave a lot of their hard earned money in Brookings.

I wont go to a basketball game in the dome, again. The last time I was there, I had to sit way up in the football stands. That was several years ago so maybe it's changed but that was a joke. When the get a new arena, I might change my mind.

At first I reacted with a little WTF moment but I think the Jacks fans can still crowd into Cubbys if they want and show the visitors some hospitality. Cubbys is a great place and visitors can see it, experience it...and go away jealous.

SDSU's fans will meet at the Pressbox in Vermillion prior to the men's game at USD on 2/9 and the women's game on 2/13.

Didn't read the card closely and thought it was Bravo's for both games. The Yankton Jackrabbit Club also reserved a portion of Cubby's for Thursday. We asked for 50 seats and were told they could only guarantee us 25. This is probably why. There is a large contingent heading up from the YJC so Cubby's is going to be packed.

Is the Pressbox open again? I was just over to Carey's yesterday, damn good Guinness there. Brought back just about the only fond memories I have of my 2 years in V'ville. We use to host our med school parties upstairs at the old Pressbox.

I believe you and you are correct, Gus said no more reservations after YJC got 25 seats. If we have time to make an appearance we will. Having reserved seats and a parking pass make it likely that we'll stop in for some munchies and a beverage. Kids will probably pack a meal for the drive up, they like to do that.

I knew the old building had burned down and I heard a rumor they were reopening but that was sometime ago. Glad to hear they are coming back. I will make the Yankton Jackrabbits aware.
