It's a long season . . . just want him, the coaches, and the trainers to be smart, is all . . .
I can 100% agree with this, while I think we need him against Minn, in order to win...I would rather have a healthy Dykstra come conference time, tis the only thing that truly matters.....

I really wish this Wolters guy would show up more often and help out.

Let me try this again. I don't disagree you can call out a player on defense or whatever, but my comments were on the numerous posts that said he just didn't look good, looked winded, didn't play well, etc. OK, here's what happened according to the play by play (and I was at the game): He didn't go in until 16:22 left in the first half. Before he got in, Stainbrook scored six points in that first 3:28 minutes. Jordan was in until 13:32 left in the half and Stainbrook did not score on him. Just before he went out, he came down (probably on somebody's foot under the basket, or maybe somebody came down on his foot) and he was visably limping and went out. It is hard for me to believe that three minutes of playing time made him look winded.

He was out until 8:27 left in the half, and the trainers had him out in the hall all of that time. He came back in with 8:27 left, and definitely didn't play well, and Stainbrook got 10 points in the next three minutes, until Jordan went out with 5:07 left in the half. He didn't make an appearance in the first 5 minutes of the second half, so he was out for 10 minutes of playing time and the halftime. He played 7 minutes in the second half. I don't think conditioning had anything to do with the problems he had in the game, with 15 minutes of playing time. On that item, we will have to respectfully disagree. We will both agree with him that he didn't have a good night.

He also came in and grabbed a key board late in the game after someone fouled out (can't remember which one it was). Questioning his effort and desire is dumb.

            Re: Western Michigan

            They will all be alright.

I think with Chad the fact that he got into foul trouble just hurt him. He is one that needs to get off to a strong start. A bad charge foul on him and a few other ticky tack ones and it seemed that it kinda took him out. Griff didn't shoot great either. Both of them will come around.

Jordan will be alright. He is a big guy, not every big guy can be a Hansbrough or Zeller and run the floor like a wide receiver for all aspects of the game. You try doing anything with any type of injury, it is not fun.

Nate played great, I'd prefer if he didn't have to play 39 minutes a game and was more in the 30-32 range, but with a close game like this you need the best player on the floor.

Tony I thought finally played with confidence on the offensive end of the court. In the past he seemed to do all of the small things and hard nosed things to perfection but I saw him in high school and always believed he could be a very good offensive player and I'm glad to see it.

Marcus played alright early and I think he will gain minutes as the season moves on. Horstman played great, I've watched him since he was an 8th grader and he was always the best player on the court and he still produced even while being the #1 target of the defense night in and night out. It will be interesting to see what he does in a role he is not use to. I think he will be a special player for the Jacks when everything is said and done.

Prince. I like this kid, he is one tough player, I think by the end of the year he will be an instrumental part of the team.

So now after I basically said I liked everyone you can call me Jon Gruden. But I really do like this team. Will be interesting to see if Zach Monaghan redshirts or not.

Fortunately, we are allowed to make observations that are open to interpretation. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to accept observations and then resort to petty insults. Those petty insults don't equate to a petty person but when frequently repeated indicate that possibility. Jordan will play much better games than he did yesterday and he'll accept the criticism without calling anybody dumb or saying he hates them. I have respect for that.

I'll call your observations dumb for him then. It's not a petty insult when it's accurate. If I called you dumb, another story.

And I'm sure he will play better games than yesterday. Specifically, all of the games where he plays without a slight fracture.

I guess I misinterpreted your initial observation. That can happen.

I should have considered my initial statement better.

Spoke with Jordan at the volleyball match Saturday. He said he is hoping to play Monday and that it is a fracture in the foot. He also said it is causing a lot of pain. I wish him the best of luck and a speedy recovery.
