Re: NDSU
Howdy y'all, some of you might know me from Bisonville as an NDSU fan and student. Not here to gloat incessantly (we have some d-bag EWU fan who does plenty of that on our board, thanks) but wanted to point a few things out as a sports-talk guy and Summit fan.
Firstly, SDSU needs a big inside game. Dykstra is a great outside player for his size and I was surprised by his ability from deep. He needs to bulk up and take his game inside - Bjorklund was posting up on his game all night (prompting a few "sloppy seconds" chants ). If he and Heemstra can put on some muscle and work on their lower body strength it could win y'all a few more games.
Couldn't be happier with the way we played defense on Wolters, holding the Jacks to 4 FGs was nothing short of amazing. Don't know what Saul told the boys but they got fired up. Dunk contest left-and-right and if you're a basketball fan you have to admire what Trayvonn Wright brings to a team.
Anyway, don't hate on we students for the gloating. When you guys predict double-digit victories in the face of a 9-game losing streak, that's going to happen.
Saw a few Jack fans at BWW's north and enjoyed the back-and-forth there. Safe travels to your friends heading back to South Dakota and those of you headed to Sioux Falls.

Shoot 15 percent for a half? Sixth-graders can do that. Give up two runs of more at least 17-0? A combined 11 points and five rebounds from the seniors? (Do I feel bad they haven't beat NDSU in their careers? Those numbers make it tough to muster much sympathy.) Only 22 points in 20 minutes to start the game? That's just pathetic. PATHETIC! And I could go on. You have to wonder if they're beat before they even take the court against NDSU. Time to man up and get over that crap. Try and muster up a little pride and heart, for Christ's sake.

Re: NDSU
DJKyRo - We predict double digit victories b/c...
A.) We dont do well in close games. I thought any win would be a double-digit win. I said we wouldn't win a close one.
B.) We are, at least on paper and during the season, a better team. At least coming into tonight we were. Head to head, you're better. But ask SL teams who they think is better.
C.) We had not been whipped all year...until 2nt. It's not like we were predicting a double-digit win over Duke. You guys were under.500 coming in and lost to WIU, among others, for petes sake.

If I am a NDSU fan I am happy...for a few hours...then I ask why the hell our kids can't play like this all year? I guess I'm happy that our kids played out of their heads for just 3 games this year (NDSU, UMKC, NDSU).

Re: NDSU
And, FWIW, hope all you NDSU fans have a great time at the Summit At The Falls! Any tips or questions you have we would be happy to answer them. Like this...
Best pizza delivery?
1. Pizza Man 2. Tomacelli's 3. Boss'
Best person to butter up to at the Sheraton?
Annette Mahone. Son Nate plays RB for Augie and is practically a brother to SDSU's Dale Moss.
Hope to see a good crowd vs. the Faithhealers Sat nt.

Convenient time to come to the board for the first time if you really didn't want to gloat.

Re: NDSU
One good thing about tonight...I hope it's the last time we have to hear about playing vs. Michael Tviedt.
Would have it been great to have him on our team? No doubt yes.
But I'm so sick of the "undefeated against your home state"..."I bet it felt good to beat them, huh Mike"..."Mike, you must get up to play SDSU" crap.
I would understand him having an axe if we didn't offer a scholarship to him and passed him over as a senior. But we did offer...and he didn't accept it. I'm not quite sure why he would be bitter if he is...or maybe it's just a media thing. But thank goodness it's over."I'd like to thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee." - Joe D.
