Are you referring to anyone besides rabbit boy? I only ask because you said 'bashers' and I didn't see anyone else in this thread bash him.

So you're saying Nagy is a guy of character and integrity who is also proud and incapable of accepting responsibility for his shortcomings? What?

Exactly the "having said that" sort of doublespeak that Nagy Trashers revel in.

For someone to get so sensitive about having his remarks taken out of context while building an entire argument on remarks taken out of context........

No, not another Wooden, just a more effective coach. Nagy is continuing to get better. Good for the Jacks.

What do you mean this isn't funny? Not only is it funny, it is actually pretty neat. Come up with some other ones, zooropa.

The reason it is funny is because it is the same tired crap that people are whining about year in and year out.

Then again, while I enjoy Jackrabbit sports immensely, I don't live and die by them or get mad when people talk them down. Opinions are like A-Holes and that is what people are giving.

I just roll my eyes and say whatever.

Is it possible to be of high character and still make mistakes? By saying that Nagy has high character, that doesn't mean he is perfect.

                Or does it????????

If Nagy were to engage in the type of conduct he's accused of on a regular basis, it would not be a 'mistake'.

                    Getting drunk once = mistake.

Getting drunk every weekend != mistake.

                    See the difference?

There are many people of high character with flaws (all of humanity has flaws). The ability to recognize how certain flaws may adversely affect others, and then make the needed changes in one's behavior, is proof of that character. Will be interesting to see how you tear that observation apart.

What he said above me. Poor word choice on my part.

And for the record, I'm not accusing Nagy of blaming players. I don't listen to the post game shows or read interviews, so I have no idea if he does or not. I am only defending hoops_dude because it seems like he's getting an unfair shake. And I don't like you.

You say that Nagy has integrity.

Where I come from---and stop me if I'm wrong---honesty and forthrightness are key aspects of integrity.

Yet you insist that Nagy lacks these characteristics.

Now you are out of line. Never have i said Nagy is dishonest nor have i said he isn't forthright. Having a difference of opinion is one thing, flat out Lying is another. You have now lost what credibility you had in my eyes. I think he is a good and improving coach, you on the other hand will not accept the fact that he isn't perfect. That is fine. This horse has been beaten to death and with your totally out-of-line assertion, we can finally end the discussion.

You're arguing semantics. It is possible for someone to possess good character but not have perfect character.

This is honestly getting ridiculous. He said "I hope Nagy is the coach for a long time" - what the **** is your problem with that? He WANTS Nagy to be the coach. I can understand why some people don't like rabbit boy's opinion but hoops_guy? Once again: HE WANTS NAGY TO BE THE COACH.
