Are the stars behind the recruits name (in the op) their star rating?

Was he a "non-qualifier"? Not that it matter now. He should add some much needed depth to the D-line.

What coach recruits Arizona? Somebody should buy that guy a beer.

I'm sure why he ended up at a JUCO. I know he was from a more remote part of Arizona so he might not have been recruited very heavily.

D-Line coach/recruiting coordinator Clint Brown recruits Arizona.

As far as a previous statement, we do have some height at WR. Rollin is 6'1" and Freshman Jason Schneider is 6'3" and received some good reviews in fall camp. We also are bringing in 6'1" Trevor Sikink, he likely won't play next season but should help down the road.

Height at WR is a bit overrated anyways. Sure you would like to have a receiver in the 6'1" to 6'3" range, but speed, route running, and hands are all more important. It's hard to find a WR that has those three attributes and is tall because FBS schools grab them up.
I agree also that height is over rated- Wes Welker can detest to that one.

I don't know what Stig and his staff did this recruiting season, but from the looks of the players, they have knocked it out of the park. Someone else said it earlier, but on paper, this is the best recruiting class ever at SDSU.
            3 quick observations:
1 - getting back to the Twin Cities will pay long term dividends in future recruits
2 - Whatever we got going on in Arizona, keep it up. To have a recruiting pipeline there is huge
3 - Nice to see some WI recruits. This has been a huge NDSU recruiting area for a long time, so get some quality players is good.

The Jacks apparently had more schollies than usual to work with this year. That probably helped. Regardless, on paper this looks like a tremendous class of recruits. Deep, broad and talented.

Scratch Paul Wisniewski from the list. He will be playing for Toledo.

                        Per TVs twitter:

Mark Pickerel from Missouri. 6'1'', 190 pounds. 4.5 sec 40 yd dash. Seems like a good get.

Played QB and projected at safety. How many safeties are we bringing in?

Pickerel is all conference and all state in Missouri, and "consistently cover 40 yards in the 4.5-second range". I personally like quarterbacks that convert to safety's. They usually play smart (understand the plays and looks better) and this guy has some speed and enough height to go with it. His school produces a lot of d-1 talent, and it is in his blood. He got hurt last fall with a couple games left but had a ton of production before that.

What is the scoop on Pickerel? I've tried to find out more information on him with marginal success as a recruit. Will he be getting a scholly or preferred walk-on?

He did make 2nd team all-state in Class 6 as an all-purpose running back, but he played QB for the last 2 years. He apparently has a nice frame at 6'1" 190 lbs and has a brother who is a sprinter for the University of Missouri.

The following preseason story was interesting.

Scratch another offered recruit. Isaac Lintz will be taking his game to UNI.

I love Reggie Gandy, but I'm not thrilled with the propects of playing against Isaac. He apparently made his commitment over the weekend.
