Well, unless I can raise some folks, we've lost to TCU...they have taken the lead at 6:30 a.m. CT and are going strong in an obvious organized fashion. SOS!!!

Do we think that Jackrabbit won? I just went on to check and couldn't get to the standings page. I suppose they must need to update it. Thought that might have been more automated and be up immediately.

JG...not sure, but I checked with 2 minutes to go, and our lead had gone down to 11 votes. I got a couple more votes in before it locked me out, and now we have to wait for the page to update...although it has already put up the next round of pairings, where we will face Georgia's Hairy Dawg. I know several people were helping out...so identify yourselves if you were, and a big thanks to everybody who jumped on this morning!

It appears we won by seven votes. Seven! I was having trouble getting on the Internet this morning. When I checked the votes, I didn't hop on here or facebook or anywhere else because it was so close. I just kept voting. Thanks to everybody else who helped. Holy crap, that was tight. We'll have to be on guard against last-minute rushes. VOTE JACK!

                  Re: Capital One Bowl

Its official up on the site now. We're alone in first with a 3-0 record.

However, Bearcat, Bill, Mike and Superfrog all are still ahead in total votes tallied. This will only matter in the case of tie breakers for a playoff spot.

                  Nice work Jackrabbit fans.

                    Re: Capital One Bowl

My thanks also to those of you who leaped in at the end. I voted until 2:25 a.m. and we were up by 294 when I went to bed. Got up at 5:30 a.m. and we were up just 87, and at 6:30 a.m. we trailed by 2. At that point I thought we were goners, but kept voting and by 6:58 a.m. we regained the lead. It will get progressively tougher as I know that other voters are voting for the opponents of the leaders. My list this week is Big Red, Bucky, Boomer, Butch and Sebastian...and of course #1 JACK RABBIT!!!

Down early to the Hairy Dog of Georgia. Just voted, but were down 52. No hill for a Jack Rabbit.

You can bet that everyone is voting against Jack this week, since he is the only undefeated mascot. We need to get as many people to vote this week as possible.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

                            Re: Capital One Bowl

Crazy mad props to Jacks#1Fan. If I could figure out how to give rep points, I would...although perhaps not for the right reasons. Anyhow, I thought I was going above and beyond. Well done and thanks!

Once I saw how close it was this morning, I wouldn't even click on "Schedule" again to check totals because it ate up important voting time. I voted while at a coffee hose show Friday night. I voted while at the bar Saturday (casual setting). The person next to me cast a few votes, too. I realize this is kind of a silly deal, and people rightly say I'm obsessed with it...but it's kind of great and I love winning!

We are a few hundred votes down now...at least that many, actually. Everybody is voting against us, it's fair to say, because we're in first. We'll see how the next few days shake down. We can't let the Dog get too far ahead. Keep urging and bugging and asking people to VOTE JACK. Early and often, baby. Early and often!

Anybody know how NDSU fared last year?

Thanks, everybody, for taking time to vote and for asking others to vote! Also, there was good Vote Jack promotion at the game this week. Good to see.

I BACK JACK!!! (Note to SDSU-types...have pins made with Jacks photo and "I back Jack!" on them and pass them out at the next game. Shirts, too! (I know, I know...it all costs money.)

Put in about 40 minutes of voting--don't think I closed the gap much.

Jackrabbit is down by more than 700 votes. He is no longer flying under the radar and Hairy Dawg fans are being joined by those behind us in the standings.

Get the word out. Its going to be a tough win this week, and from here on out I suspect.
