Thank the sports wizards for I have been fortunate enough to visit many of these leagues and stadiums and witness the good and bad. You guys (the few of you), looked like you were having fun today?
True, but this year the SDSU/ UPD are cracking down on everything. Today the UPD escorted around 10 students at the end of half time to the exits. I cannot tell you for sure what they did but it appeared all but one were holding cowbells and the last an SDSU flag with the long blue and yellow pole that has flown in the student section the past few years. If they were kicked out for having cowbells and a flag that is sad and down right pitiful IMO.

I understand the conference rule but it is obvious it is a bad rule and needs to be changed. I sincerely hope (expect SDSU) to bring this up at the conference meetings. It is very frustrating watching other games and students sections being allowed to have artificial noise makers. Tonight Texas Tech fans ringing cowbells and the Tampa Bay Rays using them during the World Series. Oklahoma State Students banging long paddles against the stadium to make noise. It seems every game I watch on TV some sort of artificial noise maker is being used. But it is not allowed here at SDSU. To me there is a difference between artificial noise makers and nuisance noise makers (game simulated noise such as whistles and horns).

I agree wholeheartedly with GoJacks. It's no wonder we have difficulty with student attendance if they constantly feel like they're being disciplined. It should be a place to have fun, not get your hand slapped.

I agree with the student turnout. Not good. But even the west reserved seats were pretty empty. I'm just hoping next weekend is a nice as it was today. Beautiful weather for a football game in SD.

what is sad is when people pay so much money for a big tailgaiting spot and dont even show up and use them.

Expect an even less crowd of people at this next weeks game, as it is deer opener in MN, SD? and some students will skip class on monday and go home for a 4 day weekend with no school on tuesdsay

McNeese fans were ringing their cowbells all game long a few weeks back. I didn't see or hear of any of them getting kicked out or their cowbells confiscated. Why is it just SDSU students/fans are being targeted???

I was near the guys that got kicked out, basically the flag pole was considered a weapon if a riot would break out. They were allowed to come back into the game though.

If the flag is a "weapon" in the eyes of whoever made that decision, maybe we should cut the flag scene out of the team intro video since it might be seen as "inciting" a riot.

                This is ridiculous.

                  Re: Missouri State

Great day, great tailgating, pheasant burgers were fantastic! Offense looked great. Nice to have Eric and our D-line back. Need to work on wrapping the QB up, I don't understand this flinging him around and letting him go business. Berry, Harris and Minett were amazing to watch. Kicking game is laughable at times and disappointing to say the least. Horrible decision by the coaches to try a 52 yard field goal. Gave them field position and allowed them to feel like they were still in the game going into the half. That was a really poor decision. Take a 5 yard delay penalty and punt it inside the 20. Maybe Priddy wasn't really ready, if thats the case, go for it.

Crowd was sparse but participated pretty well. Very disappointed in the student turnout. However, they don't cater to the students so they have little incentive to come to the game, HUGE MISTAKE by admin. Less than 50 students were tailgating and I don't blame them. If we only get 6000 again next weekend we need to figure something out. I'm worried about these low attendance numbers after Hobo Day and Nov 1st. We can't be expected to be looked at as a top rated program if people don't come to the games.

A little surprised that we didn't pick them off at all. Officials blew many calls, spots, the fumble by their QB, the pick-off they had and got called for interference, holding calls on 20 yard punts, etc... Really a bad crew on Saturday.

If you aren't planning to be at CAS next Saturday you are missing out. Our offense is hitting on all cylinders right now and the defense is getting healthy, going to be a fun last 3 weeks of the season.

You got that right. Really horrible officials on Saturday.

Probably because it was non conference game, Valley rules might night apply. That being said if SDSU student/fans brought them in for a nonconference game I am sure UPD would be all over them.

The entire Jackrabbit fan base should be disappointed. Poor turn out for the tailgate activity, poor turnout by both the adult fan base and the student body. This Jackrabbit team is competing for a MVC championship and currently tied for first place with three games to play. Post season is certainly a possibility. They won the GWFC championship just last year! How quickly we forget. I continually hear that its not fun at the games anymore because we can't ring our bells or waive our flags! That's a great excuse to not show up and support your team. Maybe the cowbell issue can be addressed but don't do it by not attending the games. This team is averaging 35 points per game, 423 yards of offense, score 87% of the time in the red zone and YES 66% of the time its a touchdown. FANS, I have heard 101 reasons why people don't attend games. Fans need to find only (1) reason to attend. Its fun! In case you missed it we are averaging 11,000 plus per game. Two final comments if I may? And even if I may not. A significant number of students that did show for the game left at half time and YES the officiating was terrible.

Security did come up in the stands and tell fans to quit ringing the bells but, where there is a will, there is a way

Lot of season-ticket holders seemed to skip the game, too. They missed a good one. The O-line clicked and made a lot of things happen. There was time to pass and holes to run through. The Jacks are capable capable of winning out.

THANK YOU! That is what I've been trying to say! Why can't we just have some fun and ring our bells. The UPD wasn't going to say anything to us about the bells until they came to get the flag. Simple Rules... Don't ring on the offense, and don't ring when the UPD walks by. Its not hard to sneak in and its fun. I hope more of you will decide that this rule is ridiculous and decide to do something.
