Thats my plan. I hunted pheasants yesterday morning and then played 18 holes followed by a prime rib dinner, as Ice Cube would say, it was a good day.

Going to take the wife golfing Sunday if the weather holds up. If it gets cooler, going to hunt pheasants. I figure I win either way. I just need a Jackrabbit win to kick the weekend off.

I want to be a doctor when I grow up.

In the meantime, will have to pray that nobody at work makes an issue out of my insisting to be near a radio (during the bison game, that is).

You are one lucky guy. It's gonna be nice Sunday and Monday afternoon, maybe I can sneak in a quick 9 Sunday after the Vikings game and a quick 9 in between class and covering the men's basketball game on Monday

Hey, it is gameday...Been so busy with work this fall, I haven't done any posting on the forum. Heading to Btown for game today. Looks like this is the first year in several years we have had season tickets, that I am going to see every home game. No conflicts this year. Weather looks great. Be there by 10, so I can pick up brats, beer and daughter & roommate and head to tailgating. Hope the Jacks can put together a good performance today. Defense needs to finish tackles and offense needs to control ball. Looking forward to a great day.

Have a feeling the student crowd is going to be less than spectacular once again since it's not 70+ degrees. We used to joke in college they had a class at NSDU students had to mandatorily take for football game attendance and cheering. Maybe SDSU should take a look into this.

                How about 9500 for attendance?
I'm hoping for a good number. HS playoffs don't resume till Monday, Augie is at Winona, USD is took a bus to Norway...only other area game is USF vs. Northwestern in SF...fans are going to need their FB fix for the weekend...I'm with you on the 9,500....maybe 9,000????

Guess we were way off. Just over 6,000 showed up today. Horrible.

The attendance shortage...for a school with an enrollmrnt of 11k +, how come we can not draw more than a thousand students with such a beautiful day and a conference title pending? I don't want to hear lack of advertising on campus...the students know there is a game and if it is because of Halloween hangover, what happened to "Hair of the Dog"? Students getting soft these days?

Only my opinion, but if we run the tables and win or tie for the MVC, then possibly some turn around wll happen next year. Its an old problem that will not be cured easily. We either got to win 8 times or more a season for about 5 years in a row, or we need to build a dome. The winning route seems to be the best option, IMO.

Because the games aren't fun for studnets anymore... the stadium manager has taken all of the fun out the game for us... i go because I love football but a lot of students go because of the atmosphere

No disrespect to your opinion WSR but that is simply HOGWASH...your there to support your team just like in high school. "Tom Foolery" is not allowed in many stadiums from coast-to-coast on all levels (NAIA, NCAA, Semi-Pro, WFL, CFL & NFL). Thank the sports wizards for I have been fortunate enough to visit many of these leagues and stadiums and witness the good and bad. You guys (the few of you), looked like you were having fun today?

Yah, I had a blast but once again I love football and I go for the game and to support the guys, but like I said in my previous post a lot of people are there for the atmosphere. We will do a better job as a student section next week I promise!

                              Re: Missouri State

The attendance was pathetic...and it wasn't just the students, although all they have to do is walk across campus, and there should have been a many more students. What about adults, though? Where were they? We're three weeks into hunting season. Is that still an excuse? You can hunt until New Year's for Christ's sake. I make the two hours and 15 minute drive five or six times a year. I have a friend who drives three hours. It's really sad that a team that hasn't dominated but is in the mix of the conference race can't draw more. The weather was great...it's no excuse...there is no excuse. Well, there is one...harvest...the farmers are so far behind that they had to get out there on such a nice day. That's it, though. The students who don't go to the games don't read these posts, so there's no use bitching to them here, but I am pissy about today's low attendence. I guess we're just not a football school...plain and simple. There are no other answers. I think today's support was nothing short of pathetic on a beautiful fall day. Pathetic! I'm curious to hear the excuses.

I've been complaining about the student section all year and it hasn't changed, I highly doubt it will for the last home game
