Unless something crazy happens to you guys, you should be hosting a 1st round playoff game. Impressive team running the ball. I'd say our O played poorly more than your team's D played well and I don't mean that as an insult. Your offense is either 1 or 1a for best that has played us all season to date. Your D is probably 3rd or 4th in my opinion. Again, no smack intended. Just giving you my opinion for a benchmark for your team.

Cal Poly fans have been great since we started the Great West together. I doubt anyone took anything CalPolyFBCrazy had to say to heart. Good luck the rest of the season. You guys should be playing after most have checked in their shoulderpads and helmets.

By the way, I don't know if anyone watched the Badger game today, but I'll predict right now that Poly will win that game. Wisconsin's Offense is horrible and their run D is not much better. They are now 0-4 in the Big Ten. Iowa ran for something like 500 yards on them today. Their QB wouldn't start for most FCS schools. I may even attend that game.

Well assessed and agreed, D needs more consistency. Now go run the table and maybe we can meet up again. All the best.

I listened to it on the internet. My girlfriend is an Iowa pharmacy grad so she has convinced me to be a Hawkeye fan. The Hawkyes made the Badgers look (sound) terrible and the Hawkeyes aren't that great. If Wisconsin defends the run like they did against Iowa (granted Shonn Greene is a beast) I would expect Cal Poly to give them all they can handle. Great ground game.

Just got home from the game, our O-line ought to be embarrassed. 10 sacks.

We aren't going to beat Indiana St. next week if they are that terrible again.

That's all I'm going to say at this point, to frustrated.

Haha! I will give you props for the random comparison, but hopefully Berry shakes this weekend off and comes back strong. Tommy Kramer...what a stud.

Ugly game. Judging from Stig's postgame and from his body language (and a Holy Crap! or two) during the game, he wasn't happy with the effort. Usually, effort is not a problem, but we just didn't seem to have a sense of urgency at any point tonight.

Take nothing away from CP, though. Dally is a stud. That freshman running back is seriously fast. And Barden, although he was used as a decoy most of the night, is a monster.

I know a lot of people are mad at the o-line tonight, but seriously, CP's unique defense has to be seen to be believed. The three down linemen line up all over the place, and somebody fills the gaps but as Stig said this week, you don't know where they're going to come from. And there are some really good players. I thought CP was out of Shotwell's, but I guess not. That guy had a great game.

I expect Cal Poly to beat Wisconsin. And I agree they'll be hosting a playoff game. Their offense is nearly as scary as McNeese, but they have a pretty solid defense (MSU doesn't) to go with it.

The good news: Indiana State. Win that and we're still tied for first in the MVFC. Then come home and play Missouri State. We actually get a break in the schedule from ranked teams for a while. Phew.
                    Holy nutmeg!

Agreed. I love the Big Ten and everything but teams like Cal Poly, even if they are FCS, are the teams that thrive on the challenge. The narrow minded style of football played at most Big Ten schools can't match the creative, explosive football played by teams like Cal Poly.

*Disclaimer* That same type of creative, explosive football is supposed to be played at Michigan this year, but obviously they don't have playmakers like Dally and Barden. I would put those two up there with anyone. Dally is gamer. Plain and simple. Also, I have had a few bloody marys and a couple of Fat Tires today so I just might be blowing smoke. Take it for what its worth (not much).

Special Teams= TERRIBLE!!! to many penalties that changed the game... a positive from this unit is the excellent execution of the onside kick. This is about the only thing that they did well tonight

The O-Line should be embarrassed. That is all I have to say for now. Their execution was pathetic no matter what the scheme, its about adjusting.

and once again the play calling seemed kind of funny again.
On a side note from the play on the field... In the student section we were asked to no longer wave our flags after big plays and were told that if we bring them back they will be taken away. Now we can no longer have cowbells, flags, signs, and next week they will take away our right to cheer. This is getting rediculous. We have people sneaking beer and hard alcohol into the game but the stadium staff chooses to pick a bone with the students who are fully supporting the team.

I think I will be purchasing a flag and bringing it to the game in two weeks. this is getting asinine what we as students can’t do. What’s next force us to sit down during the game. Let’s get more students involved instead of punishing us for what waving a flag. COME ON who does it hurt.

I know I tend to be an apologist, and I realize the frustration (I have it too), but this kind of post is crap. Let's face this fact...we played a better team tonight, whatever the reason, and I believe CP will be among the finishers at the end of the race. Their quickness and speed did our defense in, and our patched up offensive line gave Berry almost no time to pass, especially in the two three-sack series. I know I kept screaming at him to throw it away, but I also want to give him credit for hanging in and getting two plays off at the last possible second (as he was hit), which led to two touchdowns for us.

I think the problem some posters have IMO, is that they think we are a top five team, and we aren't. But I don't think you can say we aren't a top 25 team. But 22nd ranked teams seldom beat #3 teams, or #5 teams. We have a tough schedule. Stig was right in the postgame, we didn't perform like we can, but I'm not sure that would have meant a win...just a better feeling.

So who's "rule" is this. I'm sick and tired of this crap about the cowbells. OK, I can MAYBE understand at Frost...OK...but this CRAP about not bringing them to an OUTDOORS football game is CRAP...C-R-A-P. And just what are they gonna do? "escort" me out of the stadium? I agree with who ever said it's ridiculous. And now you can't wave a towell that was distributed....Holy Crap! (to quote Stig...tho I have a much more colorful word that I'd use) We need a revolution and stand up to these "powers that be" and tell 'em to stick it where the stadium lights don't shine. "I NEED MORE cowbell"

I've got a couple of questions. With about 25 sec left in the 3rd Q and the wind at our back, we have a 3rd & 6 and we let the clock run out (with ample time to run another play)

                                A) Were we satisfied with our 13 pt deficit at that time?
                                B) Did we decide that we'd rather pass into a 20+ mph wind, or
                                C) Did we think punting into that wind was a good choice?

If we run a play and it falls incomplete, we still punt with the wind at our back. Time management/play calling leaves a lot to be desired at times this year.
