hey cydave. how good are the south field seats? I know they are on the field but how good is the view?
I'm assuming those are in the endzone seating section? If so, and since you are sitting really low, not good. It's nice to see the play developing from a different perspective, but you just can't see anything unless the action is inside the red zone. Anything farther out and a 10 yard loss will look the same as a 10 yard gain. Take a look at this thread on one of our message boards. It discusses who likes endzone seating and who doesn't. For football coach John Stiegelmeier, the "big time" comes three days sooner when the Jackrabbits open the season at Iowa State in a game that's been talked about for months.

Nowhere is Iowa State's quest for respect more evident than in the new uniforms.
The Cyclones have traded in the "ketchup and mustard" duds of the Dan McCarney era for deeper shades of cardinal and gold and a throwback style reminiscent of Southern California.
For a program that's never won 10 games or played in a New Year's Day bowl, looking the part's a start.
"They're a lot nicer than our old ones," safety James Smith said. "Change is good."
