The Jacks' offense really clicked. It's finally coming together, and coming together nicely. Meantime, injuries and penalities continue to test the Jacks' defense. Starbird will have to sit out the first half of the UNI game because of a questionable targeting penalty against him. Bock is nursing a serious lower-leg injury, and several other defenders are banged up. The Jacks' bye week, which reamins two games away, will be welcome.

Hopefully this "targeting" play will be appealed to the conference, and Stalbird won't be benched.

Sounds like UNI's defense suffers from some tackling issues.

Midco actually did a brief feature on him and Stalbird at halftime. discussed the fact there is NO NAIA transfer portal. i guess that means when you leave an NAIA school there is no way to really publicize it. i guess i would have thought if you wanted to go to an NCAA school you could still enter the NCAA portal. the story was not overly detailed but apparently that is not what happens

it sounded like he was sending his videos out on his own and putting his highlights on social media. if i understood correctly, he was about to return to Olivette but he is friends with D Gales and Gales said something to J Rogers and apparently Rogers had just seen a video on maybe twitter? they had him up and everyone felt like it was a good fit and one thing lead to another

SOOO.... maybe gotta chalk that one up to just some good fortune shining on Freeman and the Jacks


Additionally, if i am not mistaken the Kuslers already had a redshirt year so it does not matter. they cannot redshirt again unless it is for an injury. AND i think they play regularly on special teams?? NO? i definitely could be wrong

If the Jacks get a seed, they would actually get three weeks off. After Nov. 12tth, they wouldn't play again until the first weekend of December.

but this is a jackrabbit sports forum and we talk about jackrabbit sports, SO i feel pretty sure that he has the same thing T Kraft had. and i am guessing he had surgery and all that. they seem pretty confident in the 6 week time frame. have not tried very hard to figure it out but i feel like that puts him back for our second playoff game. quarterfinal round i believe

JUST to be clear i am NOT passing any rumor. this is PURELY my guess from what we can see and hear. so truthfully it is not worth a thing. but that is my guess. i would love MY GUESS to be wrong and have him back for our first playoff game))) but i think we are talking about a SERIOUS miracle if he comes back for reg season. cannot imagine even if they thought he might be able to that the coaches would allow it

WHAT do we call it WHEN we get back one all american from a lower leg injury and in the same game we lose another all american to a lower leg injury?? ironic? annoying? i can think of a few things

I tend to think it doesn't, but I'd prefer the Jacks to keep momentum throughout the playoffs, and as you mentioned, the Jacks being seeded #1 implies they'd won out

i think regardless of the temp, as long as it is not in rain or snow, we go over 19k

Each week, he publishes an article explaining his rationale for his FCS Top 25 vote and puts out another one stating his opinion on some games of the week. For larger games, like the SDSU/NDSU game, he'll discuss the playoff implications for each team given a win/loss that week and additional wins/losses later on.

Here's part of his breakdown of last week's Sac State / Montana game:

"If the Hornets go 11-0, go ahead and give them the No. 1 seed without much debate, even if SDSU finishes 10-0 vs. the FCS with a win at then-No. 1 NDSU. The Hornets would have an FBS win, two Top 10-ranked wins on Montana and Weber, and another ranked win vs. Idaho." - worth noting that Idaho is now ranked 14th I believe

That being said, we've already faced this Sac State team which on offense looks pretty much the same. They still run dual quarterbacks and have at least their top two receivers back. RB Cameron Skattebo is on the Walter Payton watch list, and he is still as tough as ever to bring down.
