hoping for Eck and the vandals to knock off Sac St tonight.
not sure why i really care
but i think Sac is a bit overrated and getting WAY TOO MUCH lift for beating FBS Colorado St who i am pretty sure has ONE WIN

i guess they (CSU) won last week. they have 2 wins now by a total of 7 points over nevada and hawaii. scored total of 34 points in the two games combined and they have not scored 20 points in a game yet this year

UNI up 11 at the half on the road at SIU. they hang on and win 37-36
i feel like that does not help the conference overall, but most of all it probably gives UNI a little more juice for the game next week

The Valley just isn’t that good this year. I mean Indians State played UNI close and Illinois State beat them in the UNI Dome. Jacks will be 14 point favorites but there is a little more intrigue. Jacks play better in Cedar Falls than against UNI in Brookings.

One rant, at the SW entrance today, the entry lines were switched. The student entry lines were to the west. The non-student entry was to the east. Upon entry the non-student spectators went west, the students all went east. It was a mess with 1000's of people crossing paths. Whom ever made that decision needs to rethink it.

yes that has been the strange pattern lately anyway

hopefully with no Bock a banged up Davis
and a hospital ward full of LBs and DBs the jacks can keep rolling along! very impressed with what the defense keeps doing with SO MANY players out or playing hurt. seems like we have some young LBs and DBs who are very talented

Best overall game of the season? Usually there’s something to scrutinize, not so much today.

ISt has a bad record, but their last four losses (UNI, NDSU, ISU, YSU) were all by 6 pts or less.

The attendance today was just as impressive. What a year.

I want Sac State to lose because I'd like to see the Jacks seeded #1, although I understand the argument that there's not much difference between being seeded #1 versus #2

Are you referring to the provision that they can play in up to four games?

If Shafer and Williamson play like they did today, that should help. I'd be curious about how the Kuslers would do having earlier playing time too.

Also, Jacks are fortunate to have Freeman. Whomever played a role in getting him here deserves a raise

The Jacks' offense really clicked. It's finally coming together, and coming together nicely. Meantime, injuries and penalities continue to test the Jacks' defense. Stalbird will have to sit out the first half of the UNI game because of a questionable targeting penalty against him. Bock is nursing a serious lower-leg injury, and several other defenders are banged up. The Jacks' bye week, which reamins two games away, will be welcome.
