NOT saying we want guys hurt!!! but he absolutely did NOT lead with his head and it is the job of the DB to separate the receiver from the ball. defense is a very tough job these days
Now Jacks will likely be out Bock, McGaughy, and Spalding (for 1st half) for Hobo Day

I think a QB that does that to a receiver should get ejected as well.

YEAH WHY was that not off setting unsportsmanlike

STILL not one single penalty on the hawks!! are you effing kidding me!

i hope these officials have to go through some kind of review process after the game because there is NO CHANCE you can go through this game and have one team with no penalties. when the other team, who very generally is considered a CLEAN team gets called for AT LEAST 3 unsportsmanlike penalties

        total horse crap

i really REALLY think we have solved the mystery of WHY UND is so much better at home

        • The after the play stuff rubs me wrong. Get em under control. McCormick, Kraft, Spalding. Disappointing

It'd be very interesting to see how many games during their recent success at home had penalty differential that's this skewed

100% agree with you that was his ONLY option just let him catch the ball

the ONLY thing he did wrong is hit him while the receiver was focused on the ball and not thinking about protecting himself

i am SORRY and i NEVER NEVER want to see a kid get hurt!!! but that, my friends, is football!!!! making that a penalty is like calling a foul on a boxer for punching the other guy while they are in the ring

                • Wow, I wasn't expecting Amar Johnson to score after two defenders made contact early

Edit: I should've learned not to expect a Jacks TD not to be reviewed (without the ref even donning the headset)

                    • Regardless. Rabbits are better than this! You want offsetting penalties? How about don't ****ing do **** that's stupid that puts your team in that position. This is more embarassing than the first half. Show some respect and class while obliterating your opponent
With fans like this who needs enemas.....

Oh, I agree, and I was surprised by Spalding's posturing, but their OL's conduct seemed rather egregious

YES i agree with you. TOTALLY!!! they still are responsible for thier choices!!! NO MATTER what the circumstances!! and if i was the coach i would NOT give them an inch of an excuse!!!

but not being the coach, you can also see that it might add to the frustration when UND is doing the same stuff the whole game and they have been called for HOW MANY penalties again??

                          oh yeah, ZERO!!!!

that does not help keep the frustration under control and the REFS absolutely do have to carry that responsibility!! the way they have called this game DEFINITELY puts players at risk
