Remember picking the winner is just one if the three propositions. Our results for that are in a post above. .here are some picks we made

The system had SDSU 29 SIU 21; SDSU 24 DELAWARE 22. We didnt do the Marker. We had SHSU 26 JMU 25

We had NDSU 22 SHSU 21. Cant win them all

Decisions, decisions...do I ban this person for using this board to promote his "system" and online sportsbook, or ... hmm...?

    • i am not trying to be stupid here- some would say that just comes naturally- and maybe you are indicating that you have already made this decision. but i think it would be good if at least posts about gambling had to stay on their own thread

i guess people can just skip over them if they are uninterested. that is what i do with those that are basically just the numbers and i guess i can just do that any time i see a particular name but other people weave discussion with them back into the thread also

      anyway i will stop rambling

In his defense, I asked him about what the system had predicted for earlier games, b/c I suspected it hadn't been accurate

My preference would be that he/she/whatever takes the hint and drops the talk of his "system." I really don't like to ban people.

Sportsbook site advertising and hawking particular "systems" thereof are not why (mostly) I'm paying for and running this place.

I don't mind posters bringing up and discussing/arguing over current betting lines and that kind of thing, if it's in the context of the game itself. But this discussion is far beyond that.

          • Did the Jacks practice on natural grass the week before the game knowing the championship was on grass? Did the look at the weather forecast and practice on wet grass or see if they might just need different cleats. Hope the answer is yes on both or shame on Stig. Preparation meets opportunity and the outcome usually results from preparation. Oh last thing, work on clock management and taking timeouts at the proper time.

Well, I haven't banned him yet, so no harm done...we'll see if he'll wants to be a good little book-maker from here on out.

It seemed like the Bearkats were slipping as much as the Jacks were. I'm with you on the TOs though. I thought for sure he'd call one with greater than 1:30 left

You guys won fair and square. If we are being honest the sloppy conditions probably favored us more than you. We are more of the ground and pound team while it seemed you were a little more speed/finesse.

The injury to Gronowski was a killer. There's no denying that. Do we win with him, I think so, but I'm a bit biased. At the end of the day injuries are part of the game. We benefitted from the Delaware QB going down in the semis. He came back, but he clearly wasn't 100%.
I do think that SHSU won fair and square because they were the better team on that day, at that time, on that field, once SDSU's QB got injured.

I do not know who was favored more by the slippery conditions.
Did you see Gardner slip on their first TD. He was turned around but he almost recovered after slipping. Would he have recovered quicker on a better field? Does it help a speedy/shift WR (who knows where he is going) over a DB who has to adjust? Too bad Griffen took a crappy angle on that play.
It would have favored SDSU more if Davis had many more carries. Strong sure couldn't play against the defense in those conditions.. Davis could play for SDSU back in the day when we played outside on grass but Strong is better on a "fast track". He would be a good player but his "dancing style" doesn't translate AS WELL to these type of conditions.

I think Gronowski getting injured was the main difference in that game. You don't take out the conference player of the year (at QB) in the middle of the game and not have a big drop off. Gronowski averaged 4.5 more yards/carry and over 3 more yards/pass attempt. It would have been worse than that if he had a few more attempts.

It just adds up to a bad day to have a rough game.

I recall this very same “system” getting smeared all over the USD football board for months a couple years ago. You’re wise to address it early.

Rather, you'll use whatever excuse you can to imply a poster hasn't engaged in some activity or to drop your "panties" line.

It's ridiculous that you apparently can't see, or at least won't admit, how your "it is what it is" mindset perpetuates playing on that field despite superior alternatives. No, your extreme masculinity and omnipotence was not to blame for precip and lightning (which I never even remotely said or implied).

However, if a game is to be played on a "neutral field," and options exist that would serve to limit the influence of factors ranging from poor field conditions to weather delays, it'd be logical to utilize one of those options, or maybe the real fear is that lower-seeded Sam Houston won't basically get another home game because it might not be played in Frisco.

I've explicitly stated what I had issue with in terms of Bearkat players and Keeler, so I'll leave it to you to actually read my prior posts.
It is what it is, because I (and you) don't have any control over where & when the game is played. Deal with it. Seems like you're having a problem with that. If you don't like the current venue, then don't attend, watch, or participate. Otherwise, organize a group and go to the NCAA decision makers and protest, burn, and loot to get your way. Seems like that'd best fit your attitude. . Get your Antifa & BLM buddies to help you with that.

My apologies! Good policy to have. Especially in today's national environment.

It went from innocuous to insulting in essentially one post, so I'll take the hit for "insulting" the field. However, there's a marked difference in the tone of the posts directed at me.
