Thanks for posting the story.  SDSU fans are going to be very high for the next few days.  Most of us worried about a blow out and it almost happened.  I proud that we were able to capitalize on the turnovers.  Our coach was escorted to the WNAX broadcast booth by a Police escort, which is very common in the south, but was kind of a first for a former D2 school.  

SU is a very classly institution in my opinion and your team is going to rebound and win rest of your game or maybe most of them. Coach Stiglemeire said Mumford Staduim was a fun place to play and he enjoyed the enthusiasm of the crowd.

This win is huge and may only be shadowed by a 1935 win over the Wisconsin Badgers of the Big 10.

. . . Southern Athletic Director Floyd Kerr did not rule out the possibility the Jaguars would make a return trip to South Dakota State -- in Brookings, S.D. -- in the future.

The contract, put together in June, called for only Saturday's game to be played. The deal only required to consider a return trip to Brookings.

"That's a qualitative consideration," Kerr said. "It's not something that has to be consummated or confirmed. That leaves the door open for the future, which I think is a good reciprocal agreement. . .

"It's open-ended, because they know they have some things to do to move into the depths of I-AA."

It was a good atmosphere and I got to meet 89rabbit and texasjackrabbit .(I think )

Hopefully we will be able to come to Brookings in "06". Good luck with the rest of the season I think you guys are definitly on the right track and those guys have a right to be proud.

We were at the Southern Game, and I have to say that I have NEVER been treated so well by the home team in my life! Everyone was so kind and helpful, and they went out of their way to make us feel at home, even though it was obvious that we were So. Dakota fans. The players also said the same thing, from all the people that they encountered on their trip.

Thanks Louisiana! I hope we can return the kindness someday!
