    Some recent activity...
Tucker Kraft and Baily Darnell picked up offers from Wyoming yesterday. We'll see what happens. Isn't it about time for Dickert (former Jackrabbit safety coach, currently at WYO) to move to somewhere new again?

Luke Reimer and Payton Shafer attended the Cornhuskers game last Saturday but as far as I can tell didn't receive a PWO offer. The Huskers handed out plenty on Saturday so as of now... we are okay.

Also, Mike Love was offered by NDSU over the weekend. I think the Jacks have the inside track on Love. He and Diamond Evans are very close. If a P5 offer comes in on Love, then he is gone but he has already decommited from a MAC school.

The Jacks extended an offer to Mike Love, a receiver from Illinois. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/6225995...49350b28849b50

He is Diamond Evans' teammate and was a Bowling Green verbal before decommitting a month ago. Also had offers from Northern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and Western Illinois. He is just 5'9, 175 but plays big and runs a 4.4 40.

There are a couple who have no other D1 offers but must have stood out to the coaching staff in some way to get a PWO offer.
I agree with you on some of the PWO's that the Huskers are getting. I've officiated a few games for some of these young men who will be walking on with the Huskers and have no scholarship offers. I'm no recruiting expert, but in 29 years of officiating, you get a sense of where there future success will be. To be sure, Dan Jackson is getting some of the premier players in Nebraska to come to Brookings.

Caden is highly thought of in Nebraska as one of the higher ranked recruits from the state. Take a look at the Omaha World Herald's story on him.

Looking at our verbal commits on the defense, the group is outstanding! Hope we get them all signed and that we don't lose one to a FBS program at the 11th hour.

I'm bracing myself that we will lose a few to Iowa, Nebraska, or Minnesota at some point. It sucks but its just the world we live in. I know losing Seth Benson and Mike Timm in a matter of days so close to signing day was a learning experience last year with the new commitment schedule.

Canyon Bauer just caught his 4th TD of the night, tying the O'Gorman single season record with 14 TD's. It's only halftime.

    Re: 2019 Recruiting List

I'm getting psyched for Hobo Day and was looking at the roster and depth chart. It suddenly occurred to me that we will be graduating all of our punters after this season. (Hale and Christion) We've been blessed to have Brady kicking for us for four years, but with nobody left on the roster, I'm assuming the staff would like to bring in at least two.

Grant Detlefsen out of Lincoln Southeast would have been a great get, but the Huskers have got him locked up as a walk-on.

Ben Dinkel from Kearney, NE would have been a redshirt freshman this year, but he's no longer on the roster. That forced TC to become the backup this year. I'm assuming that if one of our kickers were serious options, they would have been listed on the depth chart. We know that there have been some very good kickers that have punted. Adam Vinatieri was an All-American punter for the Jacks and he ended up having an okay NFL career as a kicker. I'd also suspect that there are at least a dozen players on the roster that served as high school punters and would work in a pinch.

The staff must have some legit punters on their radar for this class. I just have to assume since it is a low profile position that we haven't heard much.

If my count is correct, it means that we will have had all verbal commits in for their official visits already besides Gandy and Vibert.

Adding Caden Johnson, Jerod Depriest, Evan Hull, and another wide receiver would make for a pretty impressive class. IMO. Those of you who hate recruiting can keep your comments to yourself... Yes, I know that the only thing that matters is what the class looks like in 3 years.
Keep the recruiting updates coming and thanks for keeping track of it all!

Recruiting is the absolute life blood of any college program. Even if it takes a FB recruit class 3 years to mature. If the class isn't very good when they are signed, no chance of them being good in 3 years. The better the class and signees are when signed, the higher the ceiling for each of them individually and as a whole.
