I was hoping I was dead wrong on this one, but he seemed to catch on to the American system of value very quickly. I am sure he will enjoy his stay in Fort Collins.

Unless Nouri commits to SDSU, I expect the Jacks to be done until after spring ball and added a piece that can help an area of weakness.
Is it just a coincidence that the Jacks got three commitments from Florida in such a short period of time, or did the coaching staff put extra effort into recruiting that area ? We have a few (5) Floridians on the current roster spread over 5 classes, but I cannot recall this many in one class.

I think adding a 3rd receiver was luxury at this point. Plenty of good young talent already on the roster. Adding Oxendine would have been pretty great but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Hill and Campbell will be just sophomores next year. The coaches are very high on the Janke's who will be redshirt FR and Bauer and Dailey Jr. are both highly regarded as incoming freshmen. However, this young group will need to be ready as Jacob Brown and Adam Anderson graduate and IF he can play, Marquise Lewis will also graduate.

It wouldn't shock me if they held the scholarship until after spring ball to look at a possible transfer difference maker like Brandon Snyder.

I get the impression SDSU has been eliminated. I am usually wrong.

Zac Wilson verbals tonight. DE from Florida. https://twitter.com/zac_wilson44/sta...563073536?s=20

The addition of Wilson gives us four defensive ends in this class. Caden Johnson is a really powerful young man that could sneak into the rotation early. I think Quinton Hicks and Wilson may take some time to develop as they are moving to end from a linebacker position. However, both are really twitchy athletes and have a really high ceiling. Both also played TE on offense so playing out of a 3 point stance isn't completely foreign (yeah, I know DE and TE have different foot positioning). The walk-on in the group is Kevin Brenner and he also looks pretty athletic in his film and he plays with a nasty streak.

I think the coaches realized they have to get more athletic at end and generate more pressure on a consistent basis. I really hope we see more Winkelman, Tolu, and Terveer in the rotation next year. I really liked what I saw out of Reece in limited snaps. Earith can get home but he needs someone opposite him to be able to do the same on a consistent basis. Smenda and Elijah Wilson are who they are at this point.

Oxendine is not visiting this weekend. I'm guessing he's going to commit to one of the Tennessee schools that he visited.

I guess there is a God after all. I don’t think many recruits base their choice on local climate. It’s what the institution has to offer in terms of educational choices and financial support. We are good in those areas.
