I ventured over to Rock Valley Iowa and saw Van Ginkel (RVBH) and Snyder (West Lyon). Really disappointed we haven't offered these two. Van Ginkel had 3 monster dunks. I've never seen a kid 6'3" with 'ups' like his. I sat next to a West Lyon football coach and he said Snyder has a work ethic, leadership, and competitiveness of Vandenbosh. You could see that on the court as well. The kid is ripped. The coach said he has official at Iowa this weekend and NDSU next weekend. Any rumblings in Brookings about this two? Have we signed some safety's and LB's that I'm not aware of. Again, as a former Jack player, I hate our approach to recruiting. We shoot for the moon early and the kids sign elsewhere and we lose some great talent in the 100 mile radius of blue collar talented kids.

Bumped into Coach Stig this morning at Perkins. He is hosting several incoming recruits. I did not ask the number, but he said he would feel very good if he was able to sign half of them. So lots of good recruits out there and some are exploring their choices and others have made up their minds. A few free meals and a flight to Brookings in balmy January. You cant beat that. I did ask if he had any recruits from Arizona and was told that there were two in town.
