@TerryVandrovec: Former Wyoming commit Chris Little, a QB from Evanston Township (Ill.), said he has given a verbal to SDSU. http://t.co/hzf4BgNr95

@TerryVandrovec: Little said the new Wyoming staff - mostly ex-NDSU coaches - retracted most offers extended by the old staff. He hadn't heard much since.

This fine young man looks to be a good catch. We may not get any of the commits to NDSU, but we need to find out and contact the Wyoming verbals. Some or most are skilled people.

Little's o-line seemed suspect, so he had to buy alot of time with his feet. He appeared to keep his calm even when protection broke down. Then he still took the time to read through he progressions to find the open receiver. His arm strength did not blow me away, but from the point of his decision to throw until the release seemed pretty quick. He also had very nice touch, even on the long balls where he had to drop it over the safety/corner and allowed his receivers to catch in full stride.

This is a great get for SDSU. A balanced QB that can run and throw.

Contrary to Gopherhole, I was impressed with his arm. Early in his highlight video, he chucked it about 60 yards in the air. He might not have a cannon for the shorter throws, but that may be one of the reasons why he is going to SDSU and not an FBS school.

Of course, I only watched his highlight video, which tend to make anyone look good! The plays they didn't show are probably the reasons why he is not going to a Big 10 school.

Malik Reaves committed to Villanova, Ryon'e Winters to NDSU, and Connor Cain to Eastern Washington.

Looks like we have picked up our 3rd commit of the weekend....

According to Jason Jewell of Scout, 2-Star Athlete J.T. Nettleton of Saguaro HS in Scottsdale, AZ committed.....https://twitter.com/jason247scout/status/422819632701919232

This kid is a baller, I like him as an explosive and rangy safety. He has the size and speed to be a playmaking receiver to.

Great get for you guys. The Saguaro program is a factory. It produced amongst others : DJ Foster (RB) at Arizona State. The current QB is going to Cal. Christian Kirk is a junior WR/RB and has offers from every school in the country.

I like his athleticism and his length. I wonder if we are thinking more WR and Free Safety. Big Play capability on 'O'. I question whether he'll lay the wood to RB's and TE's coming at him. I think he moves great and gets sideline to sideline, but taking on blocks and RB's might be a different story. We need playmakers and he is one.

It will be interesting to see what the coaches do with him, Nettleton appears to be one hell of a football player. He had 5 touchdowns and 220 receiving yards on 8 catches in his teams DIII semifinal victory and as joeybrownerHOF said, Saguaro HS is loaded with BCS talent. TV just tweeted that he made the Arizona Super 25 as a db but he also had 1500 receiving yards. How this guy got away from MWC and Big Sky teams, I have no idea, but am thankful he did.

I need to give BigGoosie more rep points, but it won't allow it. So I need to give a shout out for all of the outstanding updates he is posting!

By my count, we are up to 12 verbal commits. I know it has been discussed before, but what is our limit on scholarships available this year? Do we hold on to any scholarships as an incentive for players that fell through the FBS cracks? How about transfers?

We have 17 seniors on this last year's squad, but I don't believe they were all on full schollies.

One last tid bit. My son talked with a former recruit last week who is on the Husker roster. This recruit is showing interest in playing for the Rabbits again, because he doesn't see a significant opportunity to see extended playing time in Lincoln. Do we keep any scholarships available for these type of recruits?

Just my guess a resounding NO. But we have George Marshall practicing and anticipating some scholly money down the road. I think Jay Larson the finance and tuition guy seems to find money for the non-athletes and athletes alike.
