    Re: Season tickets

I had the same experience as others. Logged on with no problems. Found the seats I wanted, the website indicated they were available. I clicked on the seats and submitted my request. I received a message stating the seats were not available. I tried a different area, same result. Called the ticket office and left a message. They called me back about 30 minutes later. I have seats in Sec E but I'm not sure where with respect to the aisle. I was wanting to be on the aisle but is sounds as if I may have put myself right in the center of the section. Kelly at the ticket office was very polite but I was rushed and wasn't able to get a good explanation. I selected seats 1-6. Might be right in the middle of the row based on what is being discussed in this thread. Oh well, they will be good seats none the less.

      Re: Season tickets

JackMD. I have had seats 6, 7, 8 & 9 in Section E for years. Seat 9 is about on the 42/43 yd line. Seat 6 was probably closer to the 40/41 yd line. This year I had to move up a few rows in Sec. E and have seats 5-8. As you noted, they're all good seats.

I was a little irritated with the ticket selection process. And then I talked to a sister-in-law who is a rabid Iowa fan ("rabid" is not an exaggeration). She laughed about my grumbling and reminded me we don't know how good we have it. She's right. I shut up. My brother-in-law in Minneapolis is a loyal Gopher fan and has fabulous seats (about 45 yd line, 20 rows up from the field), great parking/tailgating etc. He pays a lot more just for the "privilege" of being able to acquire tickets and the parking spot...the actual tickets and parking cost would buy a lot of tickets and free parking at Coughlin. He readily admits that our game-day experience, while different, is as good and may in some respects be better than his -- he is a South Dakota guy and appreciates how our smaller crowd is so friendly: everyone seems to know everyone else.

Sounds like you, JackMD, and myself will be very close to each other.

I don't sit in the seats. I have 6 tickets but I'm usually down on the east sideline. My kids like to run around and I can't sit. So, you will be impacting my wife and her guests much more so than me.

My selection window was supposed to start at 2:00 this afternoon. I forgot until a little bit ago- have logged in but do not see the "Seatmap" button to click. When I click on the "timed entry" I get the following message: no available invoices at this time. Click here for purchase history...

Anyone have any ideas why I cannot select my seats?

                      Re: Season tickets

So does anyone know or understand what pushed this new season ticket policy?

Not one person I've seen on here or talked to in person who has gotten season tickets has had a pleasant experience this year. One guy I know has been a season ticket holder of several seats for 20 years and was not pleased he didn't get his same spot nor will be around the same group his been around for those 20 years.

Personally, as someone who has never had season tickets (I have bought several single game tickets to nearly every home game for the last 6 years), but is seriously considering season tickets this year, I find it a major turnoff that I can't log on to gojacks and order season tickets right now, even if I don't get to select my seats right now.

I understand that season tickets never go on sale until a specific date (february), but now that it is closed again, I wonder when I'll be able to purchase season tickets if I choose to do so? Does anyone know how much longer current season ticket holder have to select their seats?

Looking at the information I received in the mail, it says after May 31st.

Turns out they selected my seats for me since I hadn't logged in during my window. A couple rows higher and at center of F-G so not really disappointed.

They did this for me too (thankfully), but I got bumped from row 9 where I had been for 2 years to row 27(hard to believe there were that many in front of me that moved since they all had the chance to do this when the pride moved and did not.[section D])! No pleased by this at all. I could better seats on the other side of the field with gen admin. I guess the 7 tix I bought are not all that important. and if I hand't paid for them already I'd tell them to keep them and have free time this fall. I in fact planned my wedding around the football schedule. A major part of my SDSU football experience was my proximity to the game. That will no longer exist for us. and honestly I feel like my money was taken. I had no idea the significance in change in services that I would receive. and for the others who sit with me, I'm thinking they are going to be even more upset.
Not sure I'll return next year. I may become a fan from a afar. the radio is still free.

                              Man I'm upset.

Section K row 17 seats 1-5. Since the tickets are under my moms name she forgot to log onto when they had company and got a phone call from the ticket office who were going to get us close to where we were last year second J 13-16 row 21 but we renewed we needed 5 seats this year with a 2 year old. So it was rather pain less close th where we were just across the aisle. It does seem like more issues this year then I remember in years past.
