The game was in Omaha. UNO was down 13 at half, but came back to send it into OT. Don't ever relax when playing UNO.

IUPUI picked up a win today as well, handily beating Denver at home. They are sitting at 4-2 with two road wins. The Jacks will either be fifth or tied for 1st/2nd based on what happens in Fargo today. It would be nice to pick up a road win and get a little separation from the middle of the pack.

And the team to beat in the preseason looked like a bottom tier team tonight. Looks like an interesting season is upon us.

Win at home - split on the road will still be enough to get a top-2 seed. I don't know if the Jacks can pull it off, but someone will. We need to win four of our six remaining road games and take care of business at Frost to hit that mark. It's a tall task as balanced as the league is and as poor as we have been on the road so far. Right now one of about six teams could still end up winning the title, both in the regular season and Sioux Falls.

Meh. IUPUI has upset the Jacks,(yeah,it was an upset) Their other 3 conference wins are against the 3 worse teams in the league. It will sort itself out.

MBB: Here is a snapshot of where teams stand with 1/3 of the games played, teams receive 1 point for a road win, zero points for a home win or a road loss and lose 1 point for a home loss.

                IPFW +2
                IUPUI +1
                UNO +1
                ORU +1
                Jacks 0
                Den 0
                NDSU -1
                USD -1
                W. Ill -3

This is two weeks in a row that USD has played on Wednesday night, while the Jacks have had to play Thursday night and then come back and play on Saturday afternoon. With the Jacks as banged up as they are, they could definitely use the extra day to prepare. Does the conference set the nights that teams play during the week, or does the home team get to choose between Wednesday or Thursday ?

NDSU had USD last week Wednesday, giving them 2 days to prepare for SDSU as well.

MBB Final: IPFW 79, NDSU 74.

NDSU gets 23 points each from Kory Brown and Paul Miller, but it isn't enough.

                            Bison now 13-7, 3-3

                            IPFW is 16-5, 5-1

IUPUI and WIU both are 4-2 on the road and playing 5-1(USD & SDSU) teams today as well. Oral Roberts(5-1) has home game against Denver(2-4). The top 3 ought to stay the same which push the road teams further down in standings. I am rooting for the Chris Paul's tenure and the Mastodons to make the cut.
