WBB. IUPUI continues to struggle against the yotes. Seekamp has 4 freethrows for 4 points in first half... Goss is 1/8 and 2 points. Jags have 11 turnovers to yotes 6. yotes lead 33-26.

MBB: USD 71, IUPUI 67. Final. USD (10-15, 4-6) did their best to give it away in the final minute.

Thanks for nothing, Omaha! Maybe Denver will come through at FW. That game just tipped off.

Three different upsets could have helped SDSU(M and W) today. At least we have that USD over IUPUI win on the women's side.

DU is 7-12 from deep. DU win would be huge if the Jacks can take care of business tonight.

                    South Dakota State 10-1 19-8
                    IUPUI 9-2 19-7
                    South Dakota 5-5 14-11
                    Western Illinois 5-5 13-12
                    Fort Wayne 5-6 12-13
                    Denver 4-6 6-19
                    Omaha 2-8 10-14
                    North Dakota State 2-9 6-20
The current standings have IUPUI and USD women in the same bracket(2-7,3-6 followed with a potential 2-3 match.). WIU and IPFW would be the 4-5 seed game which would be in the Jackrabbit(#1 seed) bracket.

There is a little logjam in the middle of the men which could change more quickly for seeding in the last 2 weeks. Jackrabbits have the control of their road, but it involves a victory in Fargo. Seed 2 through 6 is harder to predict, but keeping a 2 seed would be ideal for playing on Saturday if the 1 seed stays with the bison..

I would be fine if things fall this way going into Sioux Falls. I know most people would prefer the bye , but I would rather play the low seed on Saturday , have a day off and go into the semis with a game under your belt. The top seed (Bison) might have their hands full playing the USD/Denver winner after not having played for 10 days.

Yes, the bye would be nice, but it does not seem to be a lot better than tuning up against IUPUI and then getting a day off. The three-seed on the other hand, has to overcome a huge challenge on three consecutive days.

Right now, #1 is essentially ours to lose. Omaha would have to go on one a hell of a tear (and finish above Denver) to change that. Getting a win at Fargo will be the (extremely difficult) next step. Losing at Fargo would cost us a tie breaker with FW meaning that we would need help to avoid falling to #3. This will be a fun week.

Don't forget that Denver has to make the xDSU road trip. I'm assuming that will be 2 losses.
