NAIA may be all they have left. As for hockey, I think what will be interesting to see what MN and WI do after the WCHA is no longer alive. Does UND lose their two of their biggest hockey rivals? This could get really ugly for the Fighting Who.

What Zoo said.... They will be playing pond hockey with the Canucks if they don't pull their heads out of their collective arses.

Perhaps that's what they are looking for - annexation into Canada, eh?

HOCKEY. If they can get this on the ballot, and it gets repealed I truly believe the BSC drops UND and I'm not sure the Summit would even consider them. They are setting themselves up to be in athletic limbo and a large contingent of their obnoxious fan base just doesn't care.

The nickname issue is handled, settled. Now it is about implementation.

Congrats to the people involved with UND athletics in ruining their athletic department. But hey, at least they have hockey...

I have played one on television. The pledge was broken some time back. If it does not matter to Newt Romney, it should not matter to anyone else.

I checked in on this thread again and came in on the wrong end (chronologically) and thought we were back at the beginning. <<shutter>>

Thank goodness they have it all figured out and aren't still messing around with this issue....wait...what?

    Nevermind.

    (Idiots.)

TIME Magazine weighs in with a piece that leans to being friendly to the side wanting to retain the Sioux nickname/logo.

I've stated my two-cents' worth: I think they move on and work on getting a different name. But, I do think the NCAA's image is dimished by the controversy.
