The better team DID NOT win tonight and it is a sad day for Women's basketball in general IMO.

On the other hand...I've never been more proud to be a Jackrabbit fan! Great season ladies!

I'm to pissed off righ now to post any further.

    Go Jacks!!

Some calls were bad, but some were just ridiculously stupid fouls. Blaming the refs is a cop out.

You also have to adjust to what the refs are calling and this is what happened in the second half.

Funny thing is that most people would say that the POWER CONFERENCES play more physical and the officials let them play, but that was not the case tonight! They took Boever out of the game on a terrible call on the baseline when the player had no place to go and the call on Jill Young on the layup and 1 by Player, she was not even touched.

I think it was to our disadvantage that Coach Mulkey was in the hospital last night, b/c she got all the sympathy calls tonight!

Anyway, Great Season and we have a lot coming back and hopefully AJ also!

I am just curious as to why we didn't run more plays like the streak to that Young scored our last bucket on? Was it not there all night or not?

I am not questioning AJ or the staff, but it seems like that play has worked well in the games that I watched.

I don't know maybe I am just pissed and looking for answers without pointing at the refs. I have always held the belief that you have to play against the other team and the refs.

And now I am just rambling 'cause I don't know what else to do.

Great season women. Bring on spring football.

It was a game that came down to a couple of big plays, and Baylor's players made them. We just lost by 2 in a second round game to the #5 team in the country. Could have won it, but we didn't. That hurts, and I'm very sad about that, particularly for our seniors. They gave us everything they had. What a terrific group of young people.

I'm just really, really proud of our team.
              Holy nutmeg!

Yes, we adjusted and soften our defense b/c of foul trouble and then they actually got in the lane. We had to loosen up to keep players on the floor.

That's the question of the night. Coach Johnston apparently believes two (bad) foul calls negate everything Jill does for the offense. Or maybe he doesn't see everything she does for the offense. Either way, my opinion of him as a coach declined substantially tonight.

Not a cop out. Girls and coaching staff...from both teams, deserved better. I'm sick to my stomach. When the ESPN announcers say numerous times that the refs are doing too much, that is enough said. Period. End of story.

I didn't like the refs because they didn't call it consistent. There were bad calls both ways, but I think we got the worst of it in the first half. With about 9 minutes left, my son said this was a completely different game because the defense for both sides was just backing away if a player drove down the lane. The other thing the refs did was give way to much attention to Mulkey. You could see that a ref was conversing with her at every break, but they very few times would they talk with AJ.

Baylor fans said we couldn't play with them without shooting the lights out on the threes. I believe the announcers said that they shot way above their season avg for free throws, so I guess we can say they can't play with us unless they shoot the lights out on questionable foul calls.

We had our chances. I thought when we started going inside to Warkenthien in the second half that we had the right formula. She scored on three possessions in a row I believe. Then we didn't pound it back inside to her for three or four possessions. That was a turning point in my mind.

I love this team. They were fun to watch all year long. I know we are all disappointed in the loss, but we will be back! WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

I feel very lost right now... at no point in this game did I feel comfortable, but I firmly believe we were the better team on the court tonight... I am so, frustrated that the refs became players in the game rather than observers and players...

                          As For ESPN....

I am FURIOUS THAT FLIPPING ESPN JUST MADE IT SOUND LIKE SDSU COULDN'T HANDLE THE F(*&^&* PRESSURE AND FOLDED... that was good D, and the player from Baylor threw up a shot and got the lucky bounce...IF YOU HAD BEEN WATCHING THE GAME AT ALL YOU KNEW THAT THE REFS KEPT BAYLOR IN THIS GAME IN THE FIRST HALF.... DON'T MINIMIZE THE GAME THAT THE JACKRABBITS PLAYED WITH YOUR PATHETIC ATTEMPT AT REPORTING...

The ladies deserve your respect. They have earned it. If you ask your commentators at the game what happened, you would hear a completely different take on what you should say.

Sorry and sad to see it end with an unsuccessful .5 of second play, but I wished my personal life had one tenth of the order and discipline of Coach Aaron Johnston's coaching.
Life would be good and much better than it is now.

Our young women made me feel proud to be an SDSU alum. Next season? cant wait.

It's been a great season and yeah we had our chances, but it would have gotten tougher in the next round against Louisville. Good luck to Baylor, they will need all the luck and help they can get to make it past Louisville.

It seemed to me she wasn't able to get a whole lot of open looks because of a MUCH better defense for Baylor. I'd like to think AJ has a much better handle on his players than we do as fans.
