  • Game Thread: Baylor

Fun fact: to make the "Bear Claw", put your right hand over your right knee. Then, keep your fingers in place, and wave your right hand menacingly up and down in a bear-swipe (most often seen by Baylor fans just before the game tip-off).

(We were taught this by a Baylor fan when the Bears went to and won the NCAA Women's Final Four a couple of years ago . . . we also sat in the back of a bus next to Jhasmine Player when SDSU and Baylor were both in the Bahamas, so Snookums and I have a Baylor history of our own . . .)

Baylor's good. SDSU's good. Let's see what happens!

You must also say "Sic'em Bears" right after the opening tip. Should be a great game. Looking forward to it. Best of luck to SDSU!!

We are playing our best ball at the right time, i like our chances, should be close, tough game , but, we've been dead on the last part of the season on 3's, Baylor in my opinion won't sit back in a zone & dare us to shoot three's, every 3 pt shot will be contested, we have to work harder to get open in this game....hard to do in a man to man defense.I'm sure aj's come up with something.
Side note: Whoever wins better make it to the final four!(hope it's us)

Fans could always take a cue from Kansas. Before the opening tip the entire crowd could slowly chant "Fear the Rabbit" with hands swaying. Then right as the tip goes up, drop your hands and yell, "Go Jacks."

Seems to me these sorts of things really need to come from the student section . . . although some kind of unique SDSU tip-off ritual would indeed be cool . . .

We also have a thing that the BearPit does when the band plays a certain song (can't remember the name) and the fans motion the bear claw up and down to resemble a tomahawk chop. They Bearpit says "Kill!!" Here is some of our pregame rituals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KnX22jcYL4

Looks like only one possible upset in the early games (Duke is trailing Michigan State 44-42 with 8:33 left) as Texas A&M, UConn, and Maryland are all cruising . . . hope that the upset bug doesn't run out of steam after last night . . .
