Re: Illinois State - WNIT
Greetings from Illinois State!
I know our attendance is not what you are used to. Our women's program is on the rise and attendance has not caught up yet. For us, considering our students are on spring break this week, the 1100 attendance (myself included) was good. But don't think a large crowd there will affect the team. They are used to traveling to MSU and InSt where large home crowds are not unusal. We are a young team and are looking forward to the future as well.
Unfortunately, they tacked at $92 price tag on the fan bus. I don't look for there to be the 55 required number needed to send the bus. :'(
I just hope you have better refs out there than we did last night.

Welcome to the board!
Sounds like you had a basketball game scheduled but the refs decided it should have been FB. Brings up a question I hadn't thought of, but does the host school or the WNIT hire the refs? Anyone know?

Re: Illinois State - WNIT
Last night recognized one of the refs as a Valley ref. The other two I don't remember seeing before.
Fan buses are a new thing for us. We tried to get a football bus to Youngstown for the 2nd round playoff game last season, but snow and ice put a stop to that one. It's really great your women's team has such a big following, not many schools do.
