77-67 is final!!!! 1-0, and a win vs a loss to same team last year.

Good nite to be a Jackrabbit!!!!

V-ball goes 3-0, so guaranteed in the V-ball Summit play-off for NCAA tourney (which WE ARE ELIGIBLE FOR!)

Women BB starts off by knocking off Ark St. (a team with one of our 6 L's from last year)

Get out to the SUU football game, and then especially STUFF FROST FOR THE SUMMIT TITLE GAME BETWEEN ORAL ROBERTS AND OUR JACKS!!!!

              Re: Arkansas State

Do you think SDSU is a possible Top 25 team? They handled a solid Arkansas State team without breaking too much of a sweat, and I doubt ASU has dropped off all that much since last year.

We already have a vote or two going in our direction, I'm sure we'll garner more as the season progresses.

Top 50 yes, I don't know if we'll get enough top competition to get to a top 25 ranking.

UC-Riverside is going to be a great test Sun. afternoon. They should be a top Big West team, and been in the play-offs last two years.

                  Re: Arkansas State

We do have a challenging road game @ George Washington in a couple of weeks. That game may very well determine how far we've come along, or how far we've yet to go to become a true WBB power.

I think it is too early to tell how good we are going to be. I doubt we are a top 25 team at this point in time, but if we start coming together and putting up some big wins, we could get close. Congratulations Jacks! Good win. Now let's get a couple big wins tomorrow.

Just got home from game....two words...Ketty Corneman....holy crap. I was in awe all night by her play. She's got a beautiful looking shot. I'm so glad we have 3 years of Ketty bliss ahead of us. There were other facets of the games I'd talk about but I gotta take off for a bit....

On a side note...bluehatman...I never realized until tonight that you're the blue hat man sitting front and center in the student section...nice bit of advertising you did on the big screen!

                          Re: Arkansas State

Just talked to Ketty's dad and sounded like they played pretty good except for the lapse in 2nd half. Made some free throws to pull away. He felt like they will start to get some rythm now and AJ will get the right chemistry on the court.

I'm not afraid to sell myself out for a good cause. Advertising this board at sporting events is a good cause. Having a white board at games is fun.

On a side note, girls looked good, I had predicted a 75-65 victory in the Collegian this week not bad. Was ugly for a while but we took care of business. If Ketty plays like that every night, I think we have found the woman who is going to fill Vogel's shoes. Looks like a fun team.

How come neither team was shooting free throws in the first half when each team had way more than enough fouls to permits free throws?

Was there a rule change I didn't hear about?

The problem this year is that our RPI might go down simply because we'll be playing so many games against relatively bad Summit League teams. So it's important to win these early games against better opponents. They could make a big difference later on when WNIT bids are handed out.
                                Holy nutmeg!
