All in all…..a pretty good showing by the Jacks.

Kudos to the team for being willing to take it inside against a team known for defense and block shots. Would have liked to see us be more aggressive in taking it straight at them. Trying to go around them led to their ability to utize their height and reach to get those blocks.

Either way, good game for the ladies. Pretty rough 12 games for the freshman to get initiated to college ball. In the long run it should pay off for us.

I will be surprised if we lose a game in league play. I know that is setting the bar high, but we are REALLY good and our league is REALLY bad.
One hand points to campus...the other to the liquor store.

Especially when you add in a healthy Paige. Wouldn't have won this game with her, but her point guard skills would have made a big difference.

I agree. I told my wife after the game that the next game we lose will be in the tournament. I can’t see anyone in the Summit being able to stay with us.

I heard this praise a lot tonight(aggresive penetration to the basket) why in the world do you feed right into USC #1 advantages, leading the country in blocks, thinking a way undersized team can penetrate and make shots under the basket, especially after it's apparent the refs were not gonna call fouls. Beating your head against a wall all night does not make it heroic. Seems pull ups or penetrate and shooting 3s woulda been more appropriate.
The Jacks rebounded like the best rebounding team in the nation, that will.come in handy during league until this shooting funk is overcome.

We held them to their lowest point total of the year, and this was their 3rd smallest margin of victory. Their next lowest scoring game was 73 against UCLA.

There were some calls that made me think the refs were auditioning for some SEC games.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

I agree on the mid-range pull-ups, but penetrating and kicking out for 3’s doesn’t work as well when the defense doesn’t have to collapse on the penetrator (due to USC’s size). Therefore, not a lot of clean look 3’s. Also, how many times in the past during Summit League play have you heard the announcers say that our length makes it difficult for opponents to get good looks at 3’s. Their length tonight did exactly that to us.

Definitely what the Jack's did all right

but again,.tremendous defensive strategy and result by Jacks...just need to get offensive confidence for a whole game. This will happen the next 2 months

I was quietly thinking the same, glad you said it, until we get the height to shoot over them, we have to out maneuver their big's, especially hard when they have two or more . If we find our shot and have the confidence to take them, we'll just be that much better. I thought we played pretty well minus the obvious blunders trying to play too fast, or whatever else it was that we lost a possession, took a horrible shot, for.

It doesn't help when you don't have a PG who can penetrate and kick the ball out, which may be the most important thing Paige brings to the table when she returns.

Was impressed with the team rebounding and really limiting their O boards. They should have some confidence they can play with anyone now.

Timmer and Meyer are going to be salty at the end of the year.
