Donor money is better spent on facilities, coaches, and other resources.
I figured I'd be out before I'd ever donate to NIL. After reading Mason and Christensen's bit after all the FB departures I made my first (and to date only) NIL contribution. I intended to make it a monthly thing but have since forgotten about it. I think I will contribute again and more regularly but could also grow tired of it.
Nobody likes it. I'd be tempted to say that those that have large NIL funds like it but there's a train of thought that those schools have been paying players all along and now that everyone can do it, the playing field has been leveled (although the Ohio States of the world just upped the amount of money they were paying). But if we want competitive teams, that's what it's going to take or we're left behind.
We can all complain about it but it does no good. So a person either has to decide that they want bad teams and will cheer them on anyway; give up on being a fan or participate in modern college athletics. No one seems to have any idea on how to get this all under control and it isn't going away.
I personally think that the "have-nots" which really probably includes all but a couple of dozen schools (this isn't necessarily tied to P4 or B1G/SEC because schools like Minnesota really are "have-nots" too) should collectively decide they are no longer participating or offering the so called "revenue" sports (FB and MBB primarily but potentially WBB and mens hockey) until Congress gets this business under control. I think that without a "market' for a kid's talent, the problem will resolve itself very quickly.

Math but she wants to do some really specific data science things if I recall correctly. Things you probably need a specific major in at a bigger school. 100% respect if that’s why she’s leaving.

Best wishes to both of them."I think we'll be OK"

it never came up that she was gonna go? I REALLY believe AJ and staff and Sell, etc... would have very much wanted her to go through Senior day and get the recognition that she deserves
that is what makes me feel like something must have changed
regardless of any of that. she needs no permission or validation, obviously. It has been a BIG pleasure to watch her!!! sucks we only got to watch her for 3 seasons. wish her nothing but success

Wish her the best, she was a great Jackrabbit.
Honestly, her entering the portal had bothered me more than Hendo leaving.
She was going to be the engine next year, AJ is going to have to work some magic to fill her shoes. Brooklyn is amazing, but can be game planned out of the game in an NCAA tourney setting. Timmer was so versatile, it allowed AJ to match lineups to the scout. This is a huge loss to the wbb.

I am sure we all know that he was more than aware. dont you think anyone ever spoke to her about what she was thinking? not from a planning and protecting the program point of view, but from a they clearly care about her and all of the players standpoint. someone surely was checking how they can help her pursue her goals

If not for her injury, she would have been done this spring. At least now she will get at least some of her MBA paid for. I wish Haleigh nothing but the best!

This is a huge opportunity for some younger girls on the roster to show their abilities and AJ will get them ready!

Helping young people achieve their dreams. She is in the process of doing exactly that and if it takes a transfer to do that, I could never hold her back and wish her nothing but the best.
